ARE YOU ENJOYING OR ENDURING YOUR SALVATION?

By John Ollis

I began to meditate on Isaiah 12:3-6
Therefore with joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation and in that day you will say; Praise the Lord, call upon His name; declare His deeds among the peoples, make mention that His name is exulted. Sing to the Lord, for He has done excellent things; this is known in all the earth. Cry and shout, o inhabitant of Zion for great is the Holy One of Israel.NKJV
Joyfully, you will pull up buckets of water from the wells of salvation, and as you f=do it, you’ll say “Give thanks to God, call out His name, Ask Him anything, shout to the nations tell them what he has done, spread the news of His great reputation. MESSAGE.

Isaiah was the Prophet who proclaimed the coming of the Messiah and the glorious salvation he would bring. There is so much awesome truth in these verses.

Isaiah is telling us to walk in the joy and liberty that comes from being born again. We can maintain this by keeping short accounts with God and man, and making sure there is no unforgiven sin in our lives.

Water is a beautiful picture 0r type of the Holy Spirit, we must learn to live and walk and move constantly “in the Spirit” so that “out of our bellies will flow rivers of living water”. it is the SPRING OF JOY

How do we do it? Learning “in everything to give thanks” having a thankful heart, even when things aren’t going well, remembering all that the Lord has done for us, and telling everyone we can about what the Lord has done for us and can do for them.

Isaiah even suggests we should get so excited we cannot help but shout, our God is more worthy than any sporting team or sporting idol we may support, we can’t help but get excited about our glorious salvation.

SO I HAVE ONLY ONE QUESTION.

ARE YOU ENJOYING OR ENDURING YOUR SALVATION?

If you are more caught up with the legalism of being a Christian, it will rob you of your joy, we need to do what the Prophet recommends here, meditate on the goodness of the Lord, on the pit from whence you were dug, the miry clay that was clinging to your feet, and remember you have been lifted up, you are now on the Rock, your sins are forgiven, you have the gift of eternal life, you have permanent access into the presence of God, you have an awesome future, filled with the favour of God.

ENJOY YOUR SALVATION
