ARE YOU AWARE AND READY FOR THE SOON RETURN OF JESUS FOR HIS CHURCH?

I guess 150 or more years ago, the doctrine of the Second Coming of Christ ESCHATOLOGY became a popular teaching, especially the Post-Millennial School, this fell out of favour because of the 2 world wars in the last century. Then the Pre-Millenium School became popular, which had 3 sub schools, Pre-Tribulation, Mid-Tribulation, and Post tribulation, suggesting Christ’s return would take place at a particular time in relation to the great Tribulation. This School is still very popular amongst some Evangelicals and most Pentecostals.

The quite popular School these days is Amillennialism which does not believe in a literal 1000 year reign of Christ on the earth when He returns.

I am a product of the Pre-Trib/Pre-Millenium School, but to be honest I really don’t know anymore, so many see or saw this School as the GREAT ESCAPE HATCH FOR CHRISTIANS, but when you think of for example of Christians in China who have been persecuted for 70 years, it is hard to justify this position.

The early Church lived in the light of Christ’s soon return and this was the constant challenge and encouragement to keep fulfilling 1 John 1:7 NKJV But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin

AMP.N.T.⁷ But if we [really] are living and walking in the Light, as He [Himself] is in the Light, we have [true, unbroken] fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses (removes) us from all sin and guilt [keeps us cleansed from sin in all its forms and manifestations].

PASSION But if we keep living in the pure light that surrounds Him, we share unbroken fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, continually cleanses us from all sin.

Teaching Ministry was so important in the early Church, Believers were Discipled, and sought to walk in their inheritance which is an awesome part of GOD’S SO GREAT SALVATION.

The early Church was also busy fulfilling THE GREAT COMMISSION Matt. 28:18-20 NKJV And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. ¹⁹ Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, ²⁰ teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen

So, I have come to the position in my personal life that I WILL WALK IN THE LIGHT (1 John 1:7) and continuously seek to fulfil Rom.12:1-2 NKJV ​¹ I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. ² And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

AMP.N.T. I APPEAL to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].

MESSAGE So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.

PASSION Beloved friends, what should be our proper response to God’s marvelous mercies? I encourage you to surrender yourselves to God to be his sacred, living sacrifices. And live in holiness, experiencing all that delights his heart. For this becomes your genuine expression of worship.
² Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes.

I don’t have to remind you about our present world, there are just so many signs that indicate the nearness of the Lord’s return, and sadly the Church seems to be blind to the Lord’s imminent return, and so many seem to be living as if He will never return and thus there is no urgency to change their lifestyle.

Let me encourage you to read and meditate on 2 Chron. 7:14 NKJV if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

MESSAGE my people, my God-defined people, respond by humbling themselves, praying, seeking my presence, and turning their backs on their wicked lives, I’ll be there ready for you: I’ll listen from heaven, forgive their sins, and restore their land to health

We often hear preaching about asking for forgiveness,but look at the 2nd part of this verse TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS. We read in Rev. 2:5 NKJV ⁵ Remember therefore from where you have fallen; REPENT and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent.

REPENTANCE AS A LIFESTYLE is an essential key in our walk with the Lord as we continually seek to be prepared for the Lord’s return. Repentance means to think differently about sin, to change one’s mind for the better, and have an abhorrence for sin. This often the missing link in a Believer’s life, turn away from sin, and causes them not to grow in grace and in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. Lord help us to turn away from sin and walk in purity and holiness.

In these the closing days of time, what joy the glorious hope affords

That soon O wondrous truth sublime, He shall reign King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

He’s coming soon, He’s coming soon, with joy we welcome His returning,

It may be morn, it may be night or noon, WE KNOW HE’S COMING SOON.
