JESUS MUST BE SAVIOUR AND LORD
These past few years the Lord has been very gracious to me, I believe particularly because I have retired from full time ministry and am continuing to learn to transition into different areas of ministry and spending more time in prayer and Intercession, and in reading and meditating on the Word of God, and as the Lord has promised He has been leading me into more truth. For which I will be eternally grateful. It is one thing to have truth in your mind, but MUCH MORE IMPORTANT THAT IT IS IN YOUR HEART.
I have more than ever come to see that it is important to know the written Word of God, (Logos) but also to let the Holy Spirit QUICKEN His Word to us so that it becomes the Sword of the Spirit (Rhema) Eph. 6:17 and faith grows ever stronger in your life (Rom.10:17).
There is an awesome truth that has really impacted my life and has many keys to victorious living.
Paul tell us in Rom.12:1 to present our bodies as a living sacrifice to Him, and Paul’s message is written in the Greek Aorist tense, meaning we must do this continually, because of our sinful nature we want to get off the altar often to do our own thing.
I have been born again over 74 years, but sincerely feel I need the Lord more that ever in my life,for without Him I would be ever regularly failing Him, I often feel like Paul (1Tim.1:15) that I am the chief of sinners.
The writer of Hebrews speaks of GOD’S SO GREAT SALVATION which not only deals with all my sins through the death and resurrection of Jesus, but gives me a glorious inheritance NOW that I can be MORE THAN A CONQUERER through Jesus Christ.
Paul also speaks of the WHOLE ARMOUR OF OF GOD IN Eph.6:11-18 that as learn to CONTINUALLY put it of we can stand again the evil one.
God’s UNCHANGING WORD tells us in James 4:7 that as learn to CONTINUALLY submit and surrender to the Lord we can RESIST THE DEVIL IN THE NAME OF JESUS and he must FLEE, (scamper away.
