LINGER A LITTLE LONGER

I never tire of meditating on God’s eternal plan of Salvation, long before man had sinned God had prepared this glorious answer, that His creation can be restored back to Him.
I have often said, “Why didn’t Jesus come immediately following Adam’s sin?” That would have been my human response, but God in His own sovereign way decided to slowly express His plan, through the Tabernacle, and the Feasts, & Sacrifices, through the Prophets, Priests & Kings, and through His numerous Covenants until IN THE FULLNESS OF TIME GOD SENT HIS SON JESUS to deal with the sin question once and for all.
I personally follow King’s David’s practice daily as he describes in Psalm 100:4
ENTER HIS GATES WITH THANKSGIVING, AND INTO HIS COURTS WITH PRAISE NKJV

I felt the Lord say ‘LINGER A LITTLE LONGER, so that is what this blog is all about.
After I have cleared the decks of any sin, I enter the gate (boldly & confidently) with Thanksgiving, and this I do as I visualise each piece of furniture.
I stand before the BRAZEN ALTAR, and thank God for Jesus the Sacrificial Lamb, and for His precious blood that washes me whiter than the driven snow, I stand and linger a little longer.
I then stand before the brazen laver, and thank God for His second cleansing agent. The Priests looked into the mirrors and sought cleansing, I thank God He sanctifies and cleanses me by the WASHING OF THE WORD Eph. 5: 26 I linger a little longer.
Then I move into the Holy Place, and stand before the Golden Lampstand, I see the oil, representing the holy Spirit, and thak God the Holy Spirit convicted me and drew me into relationship with the Father, and that I was baptized by the Spirit into the Body of Christ, and also baptised in the Holy Spirit, and He the Spirit is leading me into all truth. I see the light the oil produces and thank God, for the illumination and revelation the Holy Spirit gives me from the Word of God. I see the flame, and thank God for His 3rd cleansing agent, that purges out the impurities and mixture in my life so I am becoming more like Jesus every day. I linger a little longer.
I turn and look at the table of Shewbread, and thank God, He is the Bead of Life, that he feeds me with the finest of the wheat, and meets my every need. I linger a little longer.
I stand before the Altar of Incense, and thank God for the privilege of prayer. and that my prayers can be a sweet smelling savour to the nostrils of our God. After 66 years of being a Believer, I still feel a novice when it comes to prayer, and like the Disciples I cry out Lord teach us how to pray, as I want a deeper intimacy with the Lord, I linger a little longer.
That is as far as David could go, I am so glad I live on THIS SIDE OF THE CROSS, and thank God than when Jesus was crucified, the veil between the Holy Place and Holyof Holieswas rentfrom top to bottom, and as a New Covenant Believer I can enter in. There has been times when I have created veils that have stopped me entering in, veils of fear and doubt and sin, I thank God I have ACCESS ALL AREAS I linger a little longer.
I stand before the Ark of the Covenant, I see the Glory Cloud between the Wings of the Cherubim, and can’t help but bow down and worship and adore the Lord. Looking to that day when it will be my eternal occupation. I linger a little longer.
I said there would be much repetition, but I remind myself and my readers today we need to LINGER A LITTLE LONGER.
