WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS FOR 2018 AND BEYOND?

I began to ask myself this week, “what is my dreams and vision and goals for 2018”. What do I want to accomplish say by March 31, June 30, September 30 etc.? I wrote a brief summary of this blog on FB and also sent it to my WhatsApp friends around the world.
I have received some interesting responses, such as “I simply adjust my goals day by day”. Every successful company and business around the world has short term, mid term and long term goals. As individuals, as husbands, (or wives) as parents, and especially as ministry we need to have dreams and a vision, and set goals in our lives.
 
I am reminded of C.S. Lewis’s  statement:

YOU ARE NEVER TOO OLD TO SET A NEW GOAL, AND DREAM A NEW DREAM

This was graphically demonstrated to me when I had the privilege of attending the first English Church Growth Seminar at Dr. Cho’s church in Seoul Korea  in 1978, I saw on every wall, in every office, the short term, mid term and long term goals  of the church, and how they were going to make it happen.
Seoul Full Gospel church is now the largest Christian church in the world, I THINK THEY GOT IT RIGHT don’t you ?
In my case, because of my age and health, it isn’t easy to set long term goals, but I sure can, set short and mid term goals. AND I AM DOING THAT RIGHT NOW.
You may never have been a goal , BUT IT IS NOT TOO LATE TO START OK?
Get away somewhere quiet and look at the various aspects of your life and ministry, and then set some questions to each of these areas, and ask yourself:
Where do I want to be in this area in ?  then set certain periods
What do I need to do to fulfil these goals?
What change do I want to see in ? 3 months, 6 months, 12 months, 2 years, 5 years
What do I need to do to see these changes come to pass?
When Jesus said for example I WILL BUILD MY CHURCH, He wasn’t saying sit back and let me do it, but we need to be PROACTIVE,  and cooperate with the Lord, and seek to BUILD ACCORDING THE PATTERN WE FIND IN THE WORD OF GOD.
This takes PRAYER,  PLANNING, PARTICIPATION, PROMOTION , and will give us much PLEASURE as we see it come to pass.
