We now come to the letter G in our acrostic on CHANGE. simply GOD IS LOVE. There is no religion in the world that promotes LOVE like Christianity does, actually some religions seem to promote hate far more than love.

The Apostle John tells us in 1 John 4:8 He who does not love does not know God for GOD IS LOVE. NKJV God has many attributes, but here John simply says GOD IS LOVE, that whatever God has done since eternity past is not just an expression of God’s heart, but ALL  that God is.
In the New Testament there are tweo Greek words used for LOVE Phileo which is translated “brotherly love and AGAPE that is described as God’s love. You would find it a fascinating study to look at every use of Agape in the New Testament For example Paul tells us in Rom.5:5 that the Agape love of God has been poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit thast has been given to us NKJV
It seems to me it could read like this, “That when we were born again God poured Himself into our life” God who is LOVE comes and fills us with Himself. so that the very nature of God begins to manifest itself in our lives.
That is why we can for the first time love God, this is why Jesus can give us  a NEW COMMANDMENT in John 13:34  that we are to love one another, not only family and friends, but our enemies as well  John 5:44.

THE MOST LOVING PEOPLE ON THE EARTH SHOULD BE CHRISTIANS.

As I continue to say, it seems in almost every blog I write, that the Christian life is one of continual surrender Rom. 12:1 the moment we begin to crawl off the altar we begin to build a dam wall that will slow and impede and eventually block the love of God (God Himself) flowing through our lives.
The reality is that unless we have God (love) reigning in our lives we cannot truly love.
We cannot love God
We cannot love our friends and family
We cannot love our enemies
If 2018 is to be a YEAR OF CHANGE, then SURRENDER TO THE LORD must become a higher priority in our loves.
Let us remember,
It is not  because we prophecy
It is not that we speak in tongues,
It is not that we serve in many departments of the church
It is not that we are in church every time the doors are open,
It is not that we raise our hands in church
It is not that we jump around and dance in church etc. etc. etc.

JESUS SAID

BY THIS ALL WILL KNOW THAT YOU ARE MY DISCIPLES IF YOU HAVE LOVE ONE FOR ANOTHER John 13:35  NKJV
