THE HEALING POWER OF CONFESSING THE WORD OF GOD
10 days ago I wrote a blog entitled A CONFESSION OF A HYPOCRITE, basically saying, that as a Preacher I was NOT practicing what I preached, in relation to BEING THANKFUL. As Paul makes it very clear that IN EVERYTHING WITHOUT EXCEPTION we are to be thankful, and really have and develop AN ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE.
Particularly in the context of the “aging process” it is one thing to STATE FACTS about its effects in your body, it is another thing, to MOAN and COMPLAIN and WHINGE, and this is what I had been doing for quite some time, and I really believe the Holy Spirit convicted me, and I needed to repent of my unthankful attitude. Some who heard me share about this in a study felt I was saying one could not even mention the facts ,this is not what I meant ok?
I need to go on and say, I do not believe in “mind over matter” or simply “positive confession” but I believe in CONFESSING WHAT THE WORD OF GOD SAYS.
So since my confession,(in that blog) when someone either in writing (say FB) or face to face, ask “How are you”? I have started saying “I am doing very well Praise the Lord”. Am I telling lies? NO, NO NO. What am I doing ? I am making my confession line up with the Word of God, for I believe my walk with God, and my relationship with Him HAS NEVER BEEN BETTER. What does the Word say?
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with EVERY spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ Ephesians 1:3 NKJV
Every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm has already been lavished upon us as a love gift from our wonderful heavenly Father, the Father of our Lord Jesus—all because he sees us wrapped into Christ. This is why we celebrate him with all our hearts. Passion Translation. And EVERY literally means EVERY amen
As His divine power has given to us ALL things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, 2 Peter 1:3 NKJV
EVERYTHING that goes into a life of pleasing God has been miraculously given to us by getting to know, personally and intimately, the One who invited us to God. MESSAGE
EVERYTHING we could ever need for life and complete devotion to God has already been deposited in us by his divine power. For all this was lavished upon us through the rich experience of knowing him who has called us by name and invited us to come to him through a glorious manifestation of his goodness. Passion translation
EVERYTHING MEANS LITERALLY EVERYTHING
Yet in ALL these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us Romans 8:37 NKJV ALL MEANS ALL
I COULD LIST SO MANY SCRIPTURES THAT CONFIRM WE NEED TO CONFESS WHO WE ARE IN CHRIST, AND WHAT WE HAVE IN CHRIST.

Words kill, words give life; they’re either poison or fruit -you choose MESSAGE
So how am I feeling physically ? nothing has changed but MENTALLY, EMOTIONALLY and SPIRITUALLY I AM FEELING GREAT. I am experiencing the outworking of confessing WHAT GOD’S WORD SAYS, and the FRUIT (not the poison) of right words.
So, it is not a sin, to quote the facts, for me it was a sin to complain and whinge about the aging process, I have learnt experientially after 66 years a Christian the healing power of confessing the Word of God. Let me encourage you JUST DO IT.
