ARE YOU SHARING FACTS OR COMPLAINING?

About two weeks ago, I wrote a blog entitled “The confession of a hypocrite” in that I shared I wasn’t practicing what I  preach. In that I was moaning and complaining quite strongly about the “aging process”. I needed to clearly do what the Word says, that “IN everything I should give thanks for this is the WILL of God in Christ Jesus concerning (me) you. 1 Thess. 5:18 NKJV I repented and the result was another blog “The healing power of the Word of God”. Not that my aging body was healed but that  doing what the Word of God says, immediately began to deal with the “cancerous effects” of ingratitude, and unthankfulness.  I am letting the WORD WORK in my life in this area like never before.
I shared this testimony in a Men’s Fellowship recently, and I may not have made myself clear, as one of the brothers later felt I said, we couldn’t even share the facts about the “aging process”. This sure isn’t what I meant, we need to know the facts if we can assist in any way like praying for that person. James 5:14-15 NKJV tells us Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up.   here James is asking the church is there any sick in the congregation, if not verbally, a person needs to indicate that he is sick, so he can be prayed for. So SHARING THE FACTS IS NOT THE PROBLEM, it is the attitude and spirit in which it is shared.
Sadly, there are Christians who refuse to “confess” they are sick because that is a “negative confession” this is clearly a wrong understanding of the Scriptures. We sure MUST NOT  have a “sickness mentality”,  but a solid reliance in the total sovereignty of God, and that He is also Jehovah Rapha The Lord the healer, and we must as commanded by the Lord, lay hands on the sick, anoint with oil, pray the prayer of faith, if healing does not come God, uses various other means like doctors and surgeons as well, whatever the result lean of our Sovereign God, He knows what is best for us.
