A TESTIMONY

By John Ollis

Today, our eldest son turned 50, I remember so clearly the day he was born, it was an awesome day, when I became a father for the first time. We know there is no training for parenting, it is all on the job learning. Every parent I am sure makes many mistakes as they rear their children, and we look back and thank God for His grace during these time.m
I turn 77 in a few weeks time, and when I was a child 77 was  a very “old” age and there is no doubt that people are living much longer today because of everything that is now available to us. I don’t know how many years I have before I am promoted to glory, or when Jesus breaks through the clouds to come for His Bride, but I want to declare today with King David I have been young, and now am old; yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken, nor His descendants begging bread. Psalm 37:25 NKJV  The MESSAGE expresses it this way I once was young, now I’m a graybeard— not once have I seen an abandoned believer, or his kids roaming the streets. The AMPLIFIED SAYS The steps of a [good] man are directed and established by the Lord when He delights in his way [and He busies Himself with his every step].
In just a few weeks I will have been a born again believer for 67 years, and of course life has thrown up its challenges, but I can shout from the rooftops  that  Philippians 4:19 has ALWAYS  been my experience And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. and again like King David Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. Psalm 23:6 This has been my experience too this very day.
Life has not been nor is meant to be a “bed of roses” or some constant picnic, and it sure hasn’t been, but I look back and thank God today for His blessing, and goodness on us.

TO HIM BE ALL THE GLORY
