PRAYER & A PRAYER REQUEST
I want to write today about the Power of Prayer, Answered Prayer, and conclude with a Prayer request that I trust you will pray with me for the next 10 days.
I am aware sadly, that many Christians do not pray, or “pray on the run”, there is little (if any) structure to their praying, and often many essential ingredients are missing from their praying. They do not realise that PRAYER IS THE INTIMATE COMMUNICATION BETWEEN TWO LOVERS, the main reason for the lack of prayer unfortunately is that sadly they were never Biblically Discipled.
Christians that do pray, know the truths for example, “we have not because we AK not” (James 4:2) That we must “ASK and keep on asking” Matt.7:7) that God wants to “meet ALL our needs” (Phil.4:19) As a result they have surely had numerous answers to prayer, some they may have taken for granted. It dawned me as I was meditating on this, that EVERY DAY God answers our prayers, as every day we need to come in confession and repentance before the Lord, and He has promised us in 1 John 1:9 NKJV If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Because our God is consistently true to His Name, His Nature and His Promises EVERY DAY He answers our prayer and ministers forgiveness to us. It is so good to have that assurance after prayer that IT IS WELL WITH MY (our) SOUL amen.
Being a Christian for nearly 68 years, I could write a book on the thousands of prayer that God has answered, and I am sure there are many He has answered, and I did not even recognise His hand in it. Of course God answers prayer in 3 ways, YES, NO & NOT YET, and we need to recognise this and joyfully bow to the will of God.
In the last say 15 years the number of answers to prayer in my life has multiplied, because of social media. I use FB, Twitter, WhatsApp, and WordPress blogs to seek assistance regarding a prayer matter. Within minutes I have the capacity through social media to literally contact thousands of Believers and Ministries all around the world whom I relate too, and seek their prayer assistance, as many also do with me as well.
In 2005 as a result of clear direction from the Lord and a prophetic confirmation I resigned my position as a Teacher/Mentor/Counsellor at Hillsong International Leadership College in Sydney and stepped out in faith and began to minister for many months at a time all around South East Asia, you can appreciate there were many challenges of many different kinds that I faced constantly, and I began to use social media which was then still in its infancy , and the LORD MET MY EVERY NEED, AND GAVE ME MUCH FRUIT AND BLESSING, this period became the highlight of my ministry. It was only some health issues that basically brought this period to a close. So although I do not physically visit these nations any more, I can visit them DAILY, in this next phase of Ministry of Intercession the Lord has led me into.
Now we come to my prayer request, In 10 days time I have to make another major decision in a Ministry area of my life, and I sure want to be 100% convinced it is the will of God (at this time), will you please pray and intercede with me that I will know without a shadow of doubt that I have made the correct decision. I thank you in anticipation.
