LET US FALL IN LOVE AFRESH WITH THE WORD OF GOD

I want to commence this blog with a personal testimony, I want to thank God today that after almost 68 years as a Believer, I can declare there is a large and strong depository of the Word of God in my heart and mind, and as I write these blogs the Holy Spirit quickly brings the verses to my remembrance as I need them. I also thank God for the awesome truth that the Holy Spirit wants to take the written word (LOGOS) and quicken it to my spirit and make it a personal living (RHEMA) word. Having read the bible so many times, there is the danger of the attitude “I know it all” there is nothing new under the sun etc. Yet at the same time knowing the experience a thousand times that every time we turn to the Word of God the Holy Spirit wants to speak to us. So I unashamedly regularly pray “Lord increase my hunger and love for your Word, help not to take it for granted, help me to always have ears to hear what you want to say to me and a heart to obey”.

So I decided yesterday, I would purposefully begin to read and mediate afresh in the Book of Psalms. and Psalm 1:2 NKJV lit up like a neon sign. But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he mediates day and night.
The AMP O.T. But his delight and desire are in the law of the Lord, and on His law (the precepts, the instructions, the teachings of God) he habitually meditates (ponders and studies) by day and by night.

The MESSAGE says Instead you thrill to God’s Word, you CHEW Scripture day and night.
It was a loving rebuke from the Lord, that I must SPEND QUALITY TIME IN THE WORD DAILY, AND CONTINUE TO LET THE WORD WORK IN ME.

As I read it the Psalm and especially verse 2, I was immediately reminded of God’s words to Joshua in 1:8 NKJV This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success The MESSAGE says And don’t for a minute let this Book of The Revelation be out of mind. Ponder and meditate on it day and night, making sure you practice everything written in it. Then you’ll get where you’re going; then you’ll succeed.

I trust you are learning the ART OF MEDITATION and as the Message says in Psalm 1:2 you are CHEWING OVER EVERY WORD. God told Joshua the “ROAD TO (BIBLICAL)PROSPERITY AND SUCCESS is found in MEDITATING & OBEYING (making sure you practice everything written there). It is interesting the MESSAGE describes the Word of God as the Book of Revelation, we must learn to let the INFORMATION become REVELATION, this changes our lives.

I don’t care whether you read the Bible in printed form or on your phone, or tablet or laptop, JEST READ IT AND OBEY IT.

Forgive me Lord for not loving your Word as I should, by your grace from today on, I will spend quality time in your Word AMEN.
