TRUSTING GOD’S PERFECT TIMING

By John Ollis

I want to commence this blog today with a sincere apology, I haven’t been feeling well, but don’t use that as an excuse for the typo error in yesterday’s blog title, I am sorry, I do double check before I post but somehow missed it yesterday. I will try harder ok?

I WANT TO ASK YOU A PERSONAL QUESTION?

ARE YOU A PATIENT PERSON? or do you regularly have to pray:

LORD GIVE ME PATIENCE AND GIVE IT TO ME NOW !!!!!!!

when it comes to our prayers being answered (for example) we somehow forget, that God not only says YES, or NO, but He often says NOT YET. we must come to that place and be able to say with King David in Psalm 40:1 NLT

I waited patiently for the Lord to help me,and He turned to me and heard my cry.

Paul had to pray for the Thessalonian Believers in 2 Thess. 3:5 PASSION Now may the Lord move your hearts into a greater understanding of God’s pure love for you and into Christ’s steadfast endurance (PATIENCE).

When we were born again, and the Holy Spirit came into our life, the Lord saw us like a garden bed that needed CULTIVATION and once again (as part of our inheritance as a child of God) He has planted many seeds in our heart, and we must co-operate with Him to see these seeds watered by the Word of God and the Holy Spirit so that these grow profusely in our life. Paul describes it this this way in Galatians 5:22-23 .AMP. N.T.

But the fruit of the [Holy] Spirit [the work which His presence within accomplishes] is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness,
Gentleness (meekness, humility), self-control (self-restraint, continence). Against such things there is no law [that can bring a charge].

PASSION TRANSLATION

But the fruit produced by the Holy Spirit within you is divine love in all its varied expressions:
joy that overflows,
peace that subdues,
PATIENCE THAT ENDURES,
kindness in action,
a life full of virtue,
faith that prevails,
gentleness of heart, and
strength of spirit.
Never set the law above these qualities, for they are meant to be limitless.

The translator of the PASSION N.T. has so clearly laid it out for us the Fruit of the Spirit which we must see grow and develop in our lives.

It would be good to do a whole series on the Fruit, and I will give some thought and prayer to this.

when  we least expect it at times a situation arises that requires us to show PATIENCE, and it is so easy to slip back into our old ways. Let us make it a daily decision that by God’s grace and our co-operation and obedience to the Word of God and surrender to the Holy Spirit we show forth PATIENCE and all the FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST.

I want to conclude today with a verse that I am sure will come up many times over the next  few weeks, not only in relation to the virus crisis that we are currently in, but in all that is transpiring these days. it is Isaiah 60:22 NLT.

AT THE RIGHT TIME, I THE LORD WILL MAKE IT HAPPEN
