WE MAY FALL, BUT WE GET UP AGAIN.

By John Ollis

Some of my readers may know I use a walking stick whenever I am out of the house, because I contracted a staph. infection in my left knee during surgery some years ago, it took over 2 years for the infection to be fully removed from my body, so there was considerable damage done to my knee. As a result I live constantly with pain, the surgeon has offered what he called “radical” surgery to change the situation, at this stage I have declined his offer.

I contracted the stapf. infection as a result of a fall in the shower, that also broke my femur, tests showed I had developed Osteophorosls, so now have a quarterly injection and a 6 monthly injection to assist in the process. I sure thank God for all the breakthroughs in the medical field.

I have said all the above as I had a nasty fall yesterday, Praise the Lord nothing is broken, but my body is sure full of aches and pains. Like most falls it was a complete unexpected surprise, and it really shook me up. I am so aware these days of Paul’s teaching on our inheritance of the Whole Armour of God and the need to make sure I have put on every piece, so I am prepared for the wiles of the devil (Eph.6:11 NKJV) as he is such a master of subtle deception, and we can never relax as he is always seeking to trip us up.

We sure can learn to be FALL FREE as we continue to make sure every piece of the armour is on and we are using them to the best of our ability.

But, we all know that like myself yesterday we can have a “fall” (when we least expect it) I am so glad of God’s awesome promise in 1 John 1:9 AMP.N.T.If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just (TRUE TO HIS OWN NATURE AND PROMISES) and will forgive our sins [dismiss our lawlessness] and [continuously] cleanse us from all unrighteousness [everything not in conformity to His will in purpose, thought, and action].

I know there is not one new word in this blog today, but maybe just one person who reads this blog has had an “unexpected fall” I trust you have run to the THRONE OF GRACE Hebrews 4:16 NKJV Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. And boldly you have claimed your forgiveness.

When we have a natural fall, the after effects are many aches and pains, and after we have confessed our sin, and the precious blood of Jesus has washed our hearts clean, we don’t forget we failed the Lord, but can still shout from the hilltops IT IS WELL WITH MY SOUL, and we have an increased determination not not only to move offencibly against the enemy, but determine with the Lord’s help to learn to put on and use effectively every piece of the armour God has given us. amen.

I do pray this blog blesses someone today.
