GOD’S GOAL OF MATURITY IN US (2)

I said in my last blog, we must learn to CO-OPERATE with the Lord, if we are to go onto maturity, and be the people God wants us to be. Paul again writing to the Philippians declares in Phil. 2:13 N.L.T. For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases Him.

MESSAGE That energy is God’s energy, an energy deep within you, God himself willing and working at what will give Him the most pleasure.

PASSION God will continually revitalize you, implanting within you the passion to do what pleases Him.

We soon become aware when we are born again, although we may not be able to describe it, but that within us there is what the Bible calls a sinful nature.

That it is why it is so important that the new Believer knows not only he is forgiven, but that part of God’s so great Salvation he has received is that the Holy Spirit who now lives within him, gives us, the desire, the power, the energy, to revitalize us, to not yield to temptation and a desire to live a holy, victorious life.

God knows we cannot do this on our own, but He has included in our glorious inheritance now, this enabling now if we will C0-OPERATE WITH HIM.
