OUR GOD WANTS TO ANSWER OUR PRAYERS.

By John Ollis

We read in Luke 11:1 NKJV Now it came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, that one of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.” I would wish that every new believer would ask this question, as there seems so few these days who know much about prayer, and therefore, do not pray much. It was good to read that John the Baptist taught his disciples how to pray, to me prayer is one of the most paramount things we need to do with a new Believer is to teach him how to develop an INTIMATE RELATIONSHIP WITH THE LORD through prayer and the Word of God..

There is this lovely hymn expressed below that so clearly articulates what prayer is all about.

1Prayer is the soul’s sincere desire,
  Uttered, or unexpressed;
The motion of a hidden fire
  That trembles in the breast.
2Prayer is the burden of a sigh,
  The falling of a tear;
The upward glancing of an eye
  When none but God is near.
3Prayer is the simplest form of speech
  That infant lips can try;
Prayer the sublimest strains that reach
  The Majesty on high.
4Prayer is the Christian’s vital breath,
  The Christian’s native air;
His watchword at the gates of death;
  He enters rest with prayer.
5The saints in prayer appear as one,
  In word, and deed, and mind;
While with the Father and the Son
  Sweet fellowship they find.
6O Thou, by whom we come to God,
  The Life, the Truth, the Way,
The path of prayer Thyself hast trod—
  Lord, teach us how to pray.

One of the many reasons we need to be filled with the Spirit is to seek to have a “prayer language” and also learn to let the Holy Spirit PRAY THROUGH US, especially when we simply do not know how to pray. I wonder if there has ever been a day when there is so much going on, and we don’t know how to pray, I am so glad the Holy Spirit knows the will of God and He wants to pray through us and we can use our “prayer language” to accomplish this.

Rom.8: 26-27 NKJV Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

N.L.T. And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will.

PASSION And in a similar way, the Holy Spirit takes hold of us in our human frailty to empower us in our weakness. For example, at times we don’t even know how to pray, or know the best things to ask for. But the Holy Spirit rises up within us to super-intercede on our behalf, pleading to God with emotional sighs too deep for words.
God, the searcher of the heart, knows fully our longings, yet he also understands the desires of the Spirit, because the Holy Spirit passionately pleads before God for us, his holy ones, in perfect harmony with God’s plan and our destiny.

MESSAGE Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God’s Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don’t know how or what to pray, it doesn’t matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God.

I am humbled and thankful that Jesus’ UNFINISHED MINISTRY IS ALSO INTERCESSION. Heb. 7:25 N.L.T. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf.

Jesus tells us in Luke 11:1 after the Disciples had asked Him to teach them how to pray, and we see what is called the Lord’s prayer Jesus goes on in Like 11:9AMP.N.T. So I say to you, Ask and keep on asking and it shall be given you; seek and keep on seeking and you shall find; knock and keep on knocking and the door shall be opened to you.

So we need to be persistent in constantly asking the Lord to answer our prayers. Speaking personally, I seem to have never had so many answers to prayer during this difficult season

N.K.J.V.. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf.

PASSION So he is able to save fully from now throughout eternity, everyone who comes to God through him, because he lives to pray continually for them

MESSAGE always on the job to speak up for them.

Let us thank God we personally have this direct access to God at any time, and also to thank our heavenly Father, that both Jesus and the Holy Spirit also wants to intercede on our behalf.

Once again we have no excuse, the answers may not always come when we want them, or in the way we think we need them, but our GOD IS A PRAYER HEARING AND PRAYER ANSWERING GOD HALLELUJAH.
