ARE YOU RECOGNISING THE TRICKS OF THE EVIL ONE?

I am very burdened at this time for a dear Asian Pastor friend who contacted me, crying out for prayer, as he felt he was under a real attack of the enemy, and he was losing the battle. I asked him what keys and weapons was he using against this demonic attack, and sadly he told me he didn’t know what keys were really available to him, to deal with this attack. This so sadly reinforces the poor and limited discipleship that is given to many when they come to the Lord. Here is a man with 20 years of quite successful Pastoral and Teaching ministry, and didn’t know what was available to him.

Let me remind my readers today WE HAVE AN ENEMY who has more tricks than a magician to throw at Believers to cause them to stumble and fall, that is why Paul writing to the Ephesian church in chapter 6: 10-20 KJV Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

The word WILES in verse 11 can be translated lies, trickery, cunning, or evil strategy, ands we need as Believers to know what is the WHOLE ARMOUR OF GOD, WHAT WEAPON/S WE NEED, AND HOW TO USE THOSE WEAPONS. Peter reminds us in 2 Peter 1:3 NKJV His divine power has given to us ALL things that pertain to life and godliness, we can live in complete victory, but we must know what the weapons are that are available to us, not just the information but it is revelation to us.

I have written on this topic a number of times lately, as I am more than ever, personally aware of the “tricks” of the evil one, I am ever reminded that when a statement is made in the Greek text in the present tense, we must reads it in THE PRESENT CONTINUOUS TENSE, so for example when Paul says in Rom. 12:1 Present your body, we must do it continually, when Paul says put on the whole armour of God we must do it continually.

All the enemy’s attacks are firstly to our mind, so again, we must CONTINUALLY PUT ON THE HELMET OF SALVATION to protect our mind, and we must CONTINUALLY “take the Sword of the Spirit” which is the Rhema Word of God to contend against the enemy.

Please read and meditate upon 2 Cor. 1:20 NKJV For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.

PASSION For all of God’s promises find their “yes” of fulfillment in him. And as his “yes” and our “amen” ascend to God, we bring him glory!

N.L.T. For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory.

MESSAGE Whatever God has promised gets stamped with the Yes of Jesus. In him, this is what we preach and pray, the great Amen, God’s Yes and our Yes together, gloriously evident.

In other words GOD SAID IT, I BELIEVE IT, THAT SETTLES IT.

Many Believers are often confronted with “Lying Spirits, Spirits of Fear, and unclean spirits, and we must declare taking the Sword of the Spirit against the enemy and say with the Apostle John in 1 John 4:4NKJV He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

As we walk in submission to the Lord, and resist in the name of Jesus, he must flee/ withdraw. James 4:7 NKJV He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

The enemy must realise his time is short and is working overtime to cause Believers to stumble, may every Believer be Biblically Discipled, and know WHAT IS WRITTEN IN THE WILL, AND APPROPRIATE THEIR INHERITANCE NOW.
