WHAT IS THE "HARDEST" SEASON

By John Ollis

I have written recently about the “winter” season and how to handle and survive it, but is the “winter” season the hardest? I don’t  think so, I believe it is the “Spring/Summer/Harvest” season. That time when the Lord’s presence is manifestly so strong, everything we do seems to be crowned with blessing and there is much fruit in our lives and for the Kingdom of God.
This sadly, is the time when we can get slack and lazy, and simply relax, and assume the season will continue, you can even develop and attitude “I must be one of God’s favourites”. To me this can be a very dangerous position to be in, and let me share with you how I deal with it. Sadly, not always immediately, We must recognise:

THAT WITHOUT HIM WE CAN DO NOTHING

We need to continually throw ourselves on the grace of God, and declare we deserve nothing but the lowest hell, and thank God for His love and mercy to us.

WE MUST CONSTANTLY GIVE GOD ALL THE GLORY

Why? “Every good and perfect gift comes from above” so every “good” thing that comes to us, has come exclusively from God,

MAINTAIN THAT ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE

Sometimes in the busyness of life, we need to sit down and “count our blessings” and of course we will be surprised at all those “good and perfect” things that keep coming our way.

So in whatever season you are in at the moment, I trust these last blogs have been a help to you.

I trust you will have a blessed weekend in Father’s House.
