BUILDING ACCORDING TO THE PATTERN (3)

As I was writing the last blog (2) I began to meditate on this awesome truth, that in the Old Testament God wanted to live in a building (the Tabernacle ,The Temple), but under the New Covenant He comes to live:

In Us

In His Church (The Body of Christ).

Can you comprehend that the God who fills the Universe actually comes and lives in us, my finite mind cannot take it in, BUT I KNOW IT IS TRUE Praise God.

Under the Old Covenant the Jews were commanded to be Holy, but couldn’t fulfil that command.

Under the Old Covenant the Jews were told to love their neighbour, but couldn’t fulfil that command, and the list goes on. BUT

Under the new Covenant because Jesus comes to indwell us by the Holy Spirit, God has given us “all things that pertain to life and godliness” 2 Peter 1.3.

We, literally do not have one excuse we can be”:

The Person God wants us to be

The Parent God wants us to be

The Ministry God wants us to be.

It was said of King In Acts 13.36

HE FULFILLED THE PURPOSES (THE WILL) OF GOD IN HIS GENERATION

This can be our testimony, there is only one condition.

We must be men and women committed totally to the Word of God, and make the decision DAILY that we will:

BUILD OUR LIVES ACCORDING TO THE PATTERN OF THE WORD OF GOD
