WHAT CAN YOU (OR I) EXPECT IF WE LIVE IN THE RIVER (6)

I had thought about not writing anymore on this awesome truth, but the Holy Spirit has prompted me to add another blog to this series.
Let me remind you, that to enter the River, we must surrender ourselves to the Lord, Romans 12:1 body,soul and spirit, mind will and emotions, and to live in the River as a LIFESTYLE we must learn to live the SURRENDERED LIFE. We have to contend with a depraved sinful nature that wants to do its own thing,some teach that our old nature is eradicated, O how I wish that was true, I so wanted to find that teaching in the Word of God. We must as Paul tells us to DIE DAILY. Thank God for His grace to enable us to lay on the altar, as we do we find the old nature is “rendered powerless” and we can then learn to LIVE & WALK  in the Spirit, and truly learn to live in the River.

SO WHAT CAN WE EXPECT IF WE LIVE IN THE RIVER?

Let us look at some scriptures that tells us what we can expect if we live in the Spirit.

Romans 1:17 We can live by faith. Trusting daily in the Lord.

2 Cor. 5:15 We do not live unto ourselves, but our focus is On Jesus and others.

2 Cor. 13:11 We live in peace with God and man.

2 Timothy 3:12 We will suffer persecution, never forget so did Jesus,

Hebrew 13:18 We will live honestly, fair dinkum in all we say and do.

1 Peter 2:24  We live unto righteousness, the life of Christ shows forth in us.

So that is some aspects of how we are to live, now what does the scriptures say about our WALK if we live in the River.

Romans 6:4 We walk in newness of life

Galatians 5:16 If we live in the river, we will NOT fulfil the lusts of the flesh. Hallelujah.

Ephesians 5:2 We will walk in love, God’s agape love flows through us.

Ephesians 5:8 We are seen as children of light walking in obedience to God’s Word.

Ephesians 5:15 We walk circumspectly, purposefully, worthily and accurately.

Colossians 4:5 We walk in wisdom,

1 John 1:1.7  Walk in the light of the word of God and our conscience.

3 John 4 We walk in truth, because we love the Word of God and obey it.

These are just some of the things we can expect if we learn to live in the River. In all honesty this is the only way to live, as far as the Word of God is concerned. I wonder how many of God’s people really know what it means to live in the River, to live in victory, purity, holiness and power. What a challenge it is for God’s ministers to clearly teach the Word of God and truly preach a “full gospel”

LORD HELP US TO LIVE IN THE RIVER CONSTANTLY.
