WE ARE HOME

I see it is 20 days since my last blog, much has happened in that time. We left Melbourne on Tuesday 12th to fly to Singapore overnight, then back to Bali to conduct the wedding of one of my spiritual sons. The wedding went well, it was so good to catch up with numerous friends.

We flew back to Singapore, and spent a week there, we would have liked to return earlier, but the flights were full of returning Australians. I picked up a nasty virus in Bali by the time I got to Singapore, which laid me low, as soon as I returned home, I saw my G.P. who gave me strong antibiotics. I did meet up with numerous ministry friends whilst in Singapore, I had to cancel my preaching as one of the symptoms of the flu was a very sore throat and cough. I ver generously gave Margaret the bug as well, so we would both appreciate your prayers.

I was greatly blessed yesterday when I read a statement by Bishop Sandy Millar (Alpha)  GOD DID NOT DIE TO MAKE US HAPPY, HE DIED TO MAKE US HOLY.  wow what an awesome truth, let us cooperate with the Holy Spirit to le it happen more and more in our lives Amen.

I continue to mediate on John Piper’s statement too,

GRACE IS SIMPLY NOT LENIENCY WHEN WE HAVE SINNED, GRACE IS THE GIFT OF GOD NOT TO SIN, GRACE IS POWER NOT JUST PARDON.

Sadly, some of my friends in Asia have  become  beguiled (deceived) by the current “cheap grace” teaching that is sweeping the region. “Lord help us not to abuse your grace, but constantly come boldly to the throne of grace to find grace and help in time of need. We thank You for your grace when we have failed, but also want to lay hold of that grace to live victoriously Amen.
