ARE NUMBERS IMPORTANT?

By John Ollis

I am asking this question as there are significant things happening at this time.
It is 500 years this year since Martin Luther nailed his theses to the church door at Wittenburg.
It is now 50 years (last week) when the re-unification of Jerusalem took place.
Last week we celebrated Pentecost (50) in our churches.
Numbers seem to be important in the Bible, but like every aspect of truth we need to keep everything in balance. Too many preachers get into extremes and error over numbers etc.
I want to suggest it is an opportunity to give some thought to these things.
It is an opportunity to “look up for our redemption draws ever nearer”.
No one knows when Jesus will return, but he that has the hope of Christ’ soon return purifies (or keeps himself pure) (1 John 3:2-3)
It is important to be ready and also BUSY.
Have a great week
