FOR ME A NEW DOOR, BUT SO MUCH MORE FOR THE LOCAL CHURCH

Have you ever stood before a door, that was going to open to you, and you were not totally sure what was on the other side, but was at least aware that what was on the other side of the door was going to be good.

THIS IS THE WAY I AM FEELING AT THE MOMENT

I believe what is on the other side of the door has EVERYTHING  to do with:

BIBLICAL DISCIPLESHIP & MENTORING AND ASSISTING LOCAL CHURCHES

As a result of much  seeking of the Lord in prayer  about a new expression of ministry since April, the indications in the last 2 months has become clearer. I want to thank you for your prayers, but please keep praying as the door is not completely open yet.

I CONTINUE TO SEEK YOUR WISDOM AND GUIDANCE.

Interestingly, I have a (retired) Pastor friend who believes the Lord is leading him to assist local churches with TEACHING AND TRAINING. Without him seeking interest 6 Pastors (from 6 different denominations) have approached him seeking his assistance.
An acquaintance from over 20 years ago (also retired) has decided to sell an investment property and purchase a caravan and travel the country encouraging local churches in the area of Evangelism.
I think these 2 illustrations are significant.

WHAT IS IT SUGGESTING?

That Pastors are so busy, they are trying to do and be everything?
That although they were taught many good  things in Bible College (Theology & Bible) there were things they did not learn because perhaps they were not taught?
Many local churches DO NOT have a BIBLE TEACHING program in their church
Many  local churches  DO NOT have any EVANGELISTIC outreach, nor encourage Believers to be creative witnesses to their faith
Many local churches do not have a TRAINING program in their church
Many  local churches do not have an EFFECTIVE DISCIPLESHIP program in their church
I quoted a Canadian Pastor recently in a blog (who we met on our recent cruise who  said.

UNLESSTHE CHURCH EMBRACES RESTORATRION AND RENEWAL IT WILL DIE

Sadly, on every hand we see churches that are not growing, and some are dying. we need too:

GET BACK TO THE BIBLICAL PATTERN

All the above:
EVANGELISM
DISCIPLESHIP
TEACHING & TRAINING
Are clearly seen in the Early Church, and it turned the known world upside down
AND THEY CONTINUED IN THE APOSTLES DOCTRINE (teaching) AND FELLOWSHIP, IN BREAKING OF BREAD AND PRAYERS, THEN FEAR CAME UPON EVERY SOUL AND MANY WONDERS AND SIGNS WERE DONE THROUGH THE APOSTLES NKJV
THEY COMMITTED THEMSELVES TO THE TEACHING OF THE APOSTLES,THE LIFE TOGETHER,MEAL AND THE PRAYERS,  EVERYONE WAS IN AWE ALL THOSE WONDERS AND SIGNS DONE THROUGH THE APOSTLES.  MESSAGE

BUILDING GOD’S WAY WILL ALWAYS PRODUCE GOD RESULTS.

It seems very clear to me that the Lord is up to something, and we must recognise that the Ephesians 4:11 Ministry Gifts are gifts to the whole Church, and God plan has always been that some of these gifts are travelling gifts, and are available and ESSENTIAL to the growth of the local church.
