HEARING THE RAIN AND EXPERIENCING IT

By John Ollis

I am still meditating on Elijah’s words “I hear the sound of abundance of rain”. The knowledge that God has not finished with this world and His Church, but until the day that Jesus breaks through the clouds, He is wanting to bless us, revive us, fill us, satisfy us, refresh us.
I then began to think:

IT IS ONE THING TO HEAR BUT ANOTHER TO EXPERIENCE THE RAIN

That FAITH  must work in partnership with our spiritual senses, otherwise we don’t actually experience the rain. (for example). I think the key word is APPROPRIATE the dictionary defines it as “taking something for one’s own use”. We can hear the rain, we could see the rain but not participate in it. I said recently we must step into the rain and get saturated and throw away our umbrellas.
Too many Christians are looking to the future, and living in hope, and end up  unsatisfied, and unfulfilled.  Bill & Gloria Gaither wrote
IT’S BEGINNING TO RAIN RAIN RAIN, HEAR THE VOICE OF THE FATHER SAYING WHOSOEVER WILL COME AND DRINK FROM THE WATER. i WILL POUR OUT MY SPIRIT ON YOUR SONS AND YOUR DAUGHTERS.IF YOU ARE THIRSTY AND DRY LIFT YOUR HANDS TO THE SKY IT’S BEGINNING TO RAIN.
So the challenge of this simple blog today is,:
1.KEEP ON DEVELOPING YOUR SPIRITUAL SENSES
Ask the Lord to help you and guide you so these senses become alive and sensitive to the Holy Spirit.
2. MEDITATE ON THE WORD, for FAITH comes by hearing and hearing by the RHEMA of God
3. Open your mouth wide and CONFESS what is rightly yours
4. Then APPROPRIATE (Take what is rightly yours)
5. Be ever (vocally) THANKFUL to the Lord.
It is Friday morning here, as you think about the weekend, and prepare your hearts, the word the Lord has laid on my heart for you is BREAKTHROUGH, FOR YOU, YOUR FAMILY, AND THE CHURCH. May you have an unforgettable weekend of blessing
