WHAT IS YOUR SPIRITUAL B.M.I.?
I am sure you love the Book of Psalms as much as I do, I spend time there two or three times a year. I was blessed again as I read Psalm 36:7-8.
HOW EXCELLENT IS THY LOVINGKINDNESS O GOD! THEREFORE THE CHILDREN OF MEN PUT THEIR TRUST IN THE SHADOW OF THY WINGS. THEY SHALL BE ABUNDANTLY SATISFIED WITH THE FATNESS OF THY HOUSE;AND THOU SHALT MAKE THEM DRINK OF THE RIVER OF THY PLEASURES KJV
There is much truth in King David’s words here. Because God’s people recognise the awesome lovingkindness of God, they relax and put their trust in God, and He responds with abundance and blessing and FATNESS, and this comes to us because we love being part of the Body of Christ and are committed to a local church. So many of God’s people need a revelation of the ESSENTIALNESS of being planted in the local church and being in a loving relationship with all the other Believers in that local Body.
For example FATNESS is often mentioned in relation to God’s people, in the Eastern and Asian mind fatness always speaks of abundance and prosperity I love Jer. 31;14 where God says through the Prophet:
I WILL SATIATE THE SOUL OF THE PRIESTS WITH FATNESS AND MY PEOPLE SHALL BE SATISFIED WITH MY GOODNESS SAITH THE LORD KJV
GOD WANTS TO ABUNDANTLY SATISFY HIS CHILDREN
WHERE DOES THIS ABUNDANT SATISFACTION COME FROM ?
King David says it comes from being part of God’s House
Joshua tells us:
THE BOOK OF THE LAW SHALL NOT DEPART OUT OF YOUR MOUTH, BUT YOU SHALL MEDITATE IN IT DAY AND NIGHT THAT YOU MAY OBSERVE TO DO ACCORDING TO ALL THAT IS WRITTEN IN IT. FOR THEN SHALL YOU MAKE YOUR WAY PROPSEROUS AND THEN YOU WILL HAVE SUCCESS NKJV
DO I BELIEVE IN THE PROSPERITY GOSPEL I SURE DO !
Not the “prosperity gospel” that many American preachers teach, but the PROPSERITY that comes from being PLANTED IN THE HOUSE,, AND LOVING AND OBEYING THE WORD OF GOD.
The outworking of the above will most definitely mean we can say with King David I HAVE EVERYTHING I NEED, or as Paul declares, HE MEETS ALL MY NEEEDS ACCORDING TO HIS RICHES IN GLORY BY CHRIST JESUS.
Solomon in Prov. 14:14 tells us A GOOD MAN WILL BE SATISFIED FROM ABOVE NKJV
GOD IS THE TOTAL SOURCE OF OUR ABUNDANCE AND PROSPERITY
So are you satisfied today ????We really don’t have an excuse do we??
I love Psalm 92 and especially verses 12-14, and verse 14 says The Righteous shall be FAT AND FLOURISHING KJV.
The medical profession assess the degree of fatness and obesity by BMI (Body Mass Index)
CAN WE ASSESS OUR THE DEGREE OF OUR SPIRITUAL FATNESS YES YES YES
Has the hunger for the Word of God increased in your life?
Do you deliberately and joyfully spend time daily in the presence of God in prayer?
Are you conscious of the anointing of the Holy Spirit resting on your life?
Are you are of a developing spiritual authority in your life?
Do you constantly aim to live a holy, victorious spiritual life ?
THEN YOU ARE GETTING FATTER CONGRATULATIONS
The world promotes “The Biggest Loser” in the Kingdom of God we give ALL THE GLORY TO JESUS FOR THE FACT WE ARE CHANGING MORE AND MORE INTO THE LIKENESS OF JESUS HALLELUJAH.
