LOOKING AT THE TRINITY OF MAN (3)

I trust you are able to download  and print the diagram I sent yesterday, as it may assist you as we go through this teaching. We will start at the centre THE SPIRIT OF MAN prior to being born again the only thing that is operating here is our CONSCIENCE, God has given every human being a conscience, in simple terms it is that something on the inside that seeks to assist us in recognising that which is right or wrong. It has been described as a red flashing light that starts flashing when we come anywhere near sin, the sad thing is that like many drivers around the world we disregard the red light and keep on going, and like many drivers we end up having a nasty accident. For those who continue to disregard their conscience, Paul in 1 Timothy 4:2 describes it this way  having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, NKJV as nerves can be cauterised by the heat of a hot iron, so our conscience can cease to be effective if we keep disregarding it. When the Holy Spirit comes into our life (spirit) we need to begin to pray daily:

LORD MAKE MY CONSCIENCE SO SENSITIVE THAT I WILL RUN AWAY FROM SIN.

The word conscience is used over 20 times in the New Testament, so it is an important truth, yet, it is hardly ever taught about in our churches. Yet another reason why Biblical Discipleship is so important.
Sadly, we can have an over educated conscience, in that because of our church environment, there can be a list of “thou shalts” and thou shall not nots” that is why John tells us in 1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. NKJV, we must become men and women of the WORD, and clearly know what the Word of God says, not simply the rules of man.
You may like to draw an arrow into the spirit (on your diagram) and write Holy Spirit (born again)  on it.
Then two other things come into operation in our spirit when we are born again, INTUITION, this is two words really a tutor or teacher on the inside, the Holy comes into our lives to teach us and lead us into all truth, we also get the word INTUITIVE, meaning for the first time in our life we “feel” the presence of God, until we are converted we really didn’t know if God truly existed. And now being conscience of His presence this causes us to want to begin to enter into COMMUNION  with God and talk to Him in prayer. God lives in our spirit and because God lives there it is perfect, but if we are to become the people God wants us to be, He must be invited TO CONTINUALLY INVADE AND CONTROL OUR SOUL AND OUR BODY. These are the two areas where the enemy of our soul and our lower sinful nature has in the past been in control, and the enemy does not want to lose this territory. There is so much teaching especially in Paul’s letters regarding this and how we must let the Lord take full and complete control. In anticipation you may want to draw some arrows down from the spirit into the soul and the body, indicating God’s plan to rule in these areas.
May I say here, this teaching is NOT a Theological treatise on the Doctrine of Man (ANTHROPOLOGY) it is a simple teaching to assist God’s people to understand themselves, and God’s plan to work in us to conform us to the image of the Lord Jesus Christ.
