MEDITATE AND LET THE WORD BE QUICKENED TO YOU.

I made a couple of statements on Facebook recently that caused varying degrees of reaction, the first one was this:

YOU CAN RECEIVE A RHEMA WORD EVERY DAY

I believe this with all my heart, and it is also my personal experience, that every day,I can  as I spend a few minutes meditating on the Word of God  I see HE TURNS THE LIGHT ON and the written word becomes a LIVING WORD that as Romans 10:17 says So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God NKJV   then in the Passion translation we read:   Faith, then, is birthed in a heart that responds to God’s anointed utterance of the Anointed One.

Faith is born in our hearts, as we personally lay hold of the glorious truth the Holy Spirit has reveled to us, the information truly becomes revelation.  I then wrote this statement

I KNOW I AM PREGNANT WITH VISION AND TRUTH BECAUSE GOD HAS QUICKENED HIS WORD TO ME TODAY.

This caused greater reaction sadly, as there seems to be so little teaching and encouragement today  God’s people, to not only read the Word but also MEDITATE in the WORD.   You may want to google the word QUICKENING, it was used in the past (long before scans could confirm a pregnancy) for when a woman would feel movement in her womb for the first time (around the 20th week) and this would confirm to her she was pregnant. It is used especially in the Old Testament to explain when the Word of God came alive in a Believer’s heart.  I have quoted many times and will again today 1 Peter 1:23  having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever, NKJV . in the Passion Translation it reads  For through the eternal and living Word of God you have been born again. And this “seed” that he planted within you can never be destroyed but will live and grow inside of you forever,  I like  the MESSAGE (PARAPHRASE)  that says  Your new life is not like your old life. Your old birth came from mortal sperm; your new birth comes from God’s living Word. Just think: a life conceived by God himself! 
The seed mentioned here is from the Greek word sperma which the Holy Spirit plants in the womb of our heart and conception takes place and we become PREGNANT WITH VISION AND TRUTH. I now want to quote two great men of God  who speaks of the essential need of meditating on the Word of God and expecting the Holy Spirit to turn the light on.

I want more faith in my life, I cannot receive it through the “Laying on of hands” I cannot purchase it at the Supermarket, it only comes through hearing the Holy Spirit speak to us, from the Word, or He speaking to us as that still sweet voice in our spirit ( this must ALWAYS agree with the written Word of God, or through a Prophetic word, or the preaching and teaching of the Word. We must let the Holy Spirit keep feeding that quickened word (by more Rhema Words) so that the pregnancy continues until that day it is birthed in and through our lives.
This statement produced quite a few reactions, I guess mainly because many had not been exposed to this awesome truth. Let me share some other verses where the Rhema is used.  Ephesians 6:17 Paul calls the Rhema Word the Sword of the Spirit, which we can use against the evil one. The devil hates the Word of God and causes him to run away.
Matthew 4:4  It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ” NKJV Jesus says we will not grow spiritually unless we are regular partakers of the Rhema Word.
Luke 1:38 Let it be to me according to your word.”  Mary responded to a very clear Rhema Word that the Angel had given her. Her obedience gave us the Lord Jesus Christ.
Luke 5:5 Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net NKJV Jesus the Carpenter’s son tells these professional fisherman what they should do, Peter received a Rhema Word and obeyed it and received an overflowing net full of fish
Ephesians 5:26  that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, NKJV Paul tells us the Rhema Word has a cleansing sanctifying ministry in our lives.
May I encourage you, to choose a N.T. book (say an Epistle of Paul) and start by reading chapter 1 verse 1, look at it in another translation and then meditate  (chew over it) and ask the Lord to “turn the light on” and you will receive a word that will produce faith in your hearts and you will start to move to a new level of faith and intimacy and victory in the Lord.
