A CURRENT TESTIMONY TO LIVING THE DREAM

By John Ollis

In past generations there would often be a “Testimony Time” in the Believers Meeting, where Christians were encouraged to share their personal testimony of what the Lord was doing in their life. This is very much encouraged in the Word of God the Psalmist for example says Let the redeemed of the Lord say so  Psalm 107:2 NKJV The Message says All of you set free by God, tell the world! In the New Testament we are reminded that :  And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony  Rev. 4:11 NKJV
So sharing our testimony is very important whether in church or outside, and even as we are sharing it is having a spiritual impact on and in our lives, that causes us to be an Overcomer Hallelujah.  This is not just the spoken word but the written word as well. I feel it is overtime that I take this opportunity to share my testimony here. For many years I have declared I AM LIVING THE DREAM, especially in the context of ministry, and knowing without a shadow of doubt I am in the very centre of God’s will. In the past the dream was seen very much in the context of  fruit being produced for the Kingdom of God and the rich blessing received in serving the Lord. today where much of my ministry is hidden in prayer, the fruit is different. Yes, there is constant answer to prayer, for which I truly thank the Lord. The “dream” I am experiencing today, is being so aware of the Lord’s presence and blessing in my being, and hearing Him speak to me, consequently there is currently quite a flow of blogs coming from me as well Praise the Lord. I do trust they are blessing you as much as they are blessing me. I do not seek to write fancy Theological blogs, but that which blesses and encourages and gives answers to God’s people to assist them in their walk with God.
Now let me share a testimony regarding my physical life. The Psalmist has this to say, I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made Psalm 139:14 NKJV  To use a common term though our bodies have a “used by date”, and everything seems to be wearing out, for example there was a time when I had endless energy, this is no longer the case, I need to rest each afternoon. There are numerous aches and pains, that are part of the “aging process”, but in the midst o f those negatives, there can be positives. Every two years I undergo a Colonoscopy and as a Gastroscopy,. For nearly 20 years I have had Barrett’s Osophegus which is pre cancerous tissue, I have been informed it has totally  DISSAPEARED praise the Lord. I do have 2 further surgeries coming up in the next few weeks a day surgery to remove a cyst from my face, and an operation to deal with some hernias, I would appreciate your prayers please.
I guess I was complaining about the aging process above, and  I feel convicted about my complaining, Paul reminds us  “in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 NKJV,  EVERYTHING???   We complain about the weather and a 1000 other things,  our Sovereign God says we must thank Him for everything. please forgive me Lord for my moaning.

HELP ME LORD BY YOUR GRACE TO GIVE THANKS WITH A GRATEFUL HEART

Although I am looking forward to either the Lord breaking through the  clouds or I am promoted to Glory, I WILL GIVE THANKS FOR EVERY BREATH I BREATH,  I am alive as it is not the time to leave this “mortal coil” so I will rejoice and be glad for the Lord is good. I have so much to Praise and thank the Lord for, He has been SO GOOD, and His blessings so undeserved. If I do receive any crowns for anything I have done in my service for Him, I will sure be CASTING THEM DOWN AT HIS FEET, and look forward to worshipping Him throughout eternity, for without Him I can do nothing.

TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY
