WHAT A YEAR 2019 IS GOING TO BE
A number of friends have posted recently through social media that God has put a vision and a goal in their hearts regarding 2019, my last two blogs have been about what the Lord has put in my heart for 2019, and this includes REVIVAL.
Let us be clear in our minds, that REVIVAL is all about Believers being drawn back by the Holy Spirit into a RIGHT RELATIONSHIP WITH THE LORD. Jesus writing to the Church at Ephesus in Revelation 2:4 NKJV Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love.
The MESSAGE says “But you walked away from your first love—why? What’s going on with you, anyway?
The New Living expresses it this way But I have this complaint against you. You don’t love me or each other as you did at first!
Believers sadly often wittingly or unwittingly make a decision of their will and WALK AWAY, they are not lost, simply backslidden in heart.
The Holy Spirt down through the centuries since creation has been seeking to call back God’s people into a fresh, vital, living relationship with the Lord, in the Old Testament we read in Jeremiah 6:16 NKJV Thus says the Lord:
“Stand in the ways and see,
And ask for the old paths, where the good way is,
And walk in it;
Then you will find rest for your souls.
But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’
The MESSAGE says Go stand at the crossroads and look around.
Ask for directions to the old road,
The tried and true road. Then take it.
Discover the right route for your souls.
But they said, ‘Nothing doing.
We aren’t going that way.’
How sad, and this has often been the response of God’s people over and over again, I am so glad the Holy Spirit is THE HOUND OF HEAVEN, and He does not give up on us, but will continue to “hound” us until we respond.
The Bible uses such terms as:
He wants to QUICKEN us
He wants to REVIVE us
He wants to RENEW us
He wants to REPAIR us
He wants to REFRESH us
What we need to do is REPENT:
Have a change of MIND
Have a change of DIRECTION
Have a change of ATTITUDE
Have a change of AFFECTION
THIS I BELIEVE WILL BE THE CALL OF THE SPIRIT TO THE CHURCH IN 2019
There are signs everywhere that the Lord’s return is ever closer.
Keep an eye on the Middle east
Keep an eye on Russia
Major signs of spiritual deception
Political chaos
Famines, floods, earthquakes
wars and rumours of wars
Terrorism
Epidemics
The list goes on and on, I am sure we get discouraged, as we see church attendance diminishing, and no interest in spiritual things. Yet the Apostle Paul tells us Jesus is going to present to Himself a glorious Church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish Ephesians 5:27 NKJV
The Amplified says That He might present the church to Himself in glorious splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such things [that she might be holy and faultless].
How is this going to happen ????? Some want to think that just before Jesus breaks through the clouds, God the Father will flick His finger, and all our spots and blemishes and wrinkles and blemishes will disappear.
I HAVE SOME BAD NEWS FOR YOU
The Church MUST hear and respond to the Holy Spirit’,s calling, calling us back to:
HOLINESS remember Hebrews 12:14 NKJV Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord:
SEPARATION FROM SIN AND THE WORLD
VICTORIOUS LIVING
THE CRUCIFIED LIFE
THE SURRENDERED LIFE
THE CALL TO INTERCESSION
THE CALL TO DISCIPLE MAKING
Some of these terms many Christians would have no idea what they mean, when the Holy Spirit draws you, find a mentor, and let someone walk with you, into an intimate love relationship with Jesus.
I AM BELIEVING 10’S OF MILLIONS OF BELIEVERS WILL HEAR AND RESPOND TO THE HOLY SPIRIT’S CALL IN 2019
Why do I say that? as I read in Revelation 19:7 NKJV Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself READY
The Bride of Christ HAS MADE HERSELF READY, she has heard and responded to the call of the Holy Spirit, and laid hold of her inheritance procured for her by the Bridegroom through His death and resurrection, and that He ever lives to make intercession for her. Despite whatever has happened in the past, when Jesus looks at His bride, He sees a VIRGIN pure and sanctified.
2019 IS A PREPARATION YEAR FOR THE MARRIAGE OF JESUS & HIS CHURCH
