TOTAL SATISFACTION

By John Ollis

We returned home from our recent holiday 9 days ago, circumstances (beyond our control) caused us to spend MUCH time simply resting and relaxing. We hadn’t realised just how tired we were. So I would sit in the presence of God and worship and meditate on the Word especially some of King David’s Psalms. Isn’t it so true that literally EVERY time we open the Bible if we have prepared our hearts to receive that incorruptible seed  (sperma) even though we may have read the verses 100 times, the  Holy Spirit will bring a fresh word to our hearts. This series of  blogs is simply sharing some of the verses that seemed to dovetail together and ministered to me.
In Psalm 17: 3 NKJV David says You have tested my heart; You have visited me in the night  again in Psalm 139:23 NKJV Search me, O God, and know my heart; nothing is said about his effectiveness of his role  as King, or his ministry as a Psalmist, or father, or husband, David knew IT IS ALL ABOUT THE HEART,that reminded me why I pray every day, and ask the Lord “Is there any mixture in my motives and attitudes, why do I do what I do? Is it for my glory or His glory? Does it extend my kingdom or His kingdom?
David concludes his Psalm with the words (v.23 NLT) Because I am  (declared) righteous, I will see you. When I awake, I will see you face to face and be satisfied.
When we seek the Lord with pure motives, the end result is we become partakers of His righteousness, and we find in Christ TOTAL SATISFACTION Hallelujah.
