IT IS ALL ABOUT JESUS

By John Ollis

In my last blog I highlighted Psalm17:3 NKJV You have tested my heart;
You have visited me in the night; You have visited me in the night, You have tried me and found nothi
ng. What a testimony King David could share, and the result in this Psalm was SATISFACTION.

As we turn to Psalm 18 we see another benefit, of King David’s pure heart before the Lord, we read in verse 19 NKJV He also brought me into a broad place; He delivered me because He delighted in me The MESSAGE says  He stood me up on a wide-open field; I stood there saved-surprised to be loved.
I stood there saved—surprised to be loved!

Surely a broad place is a PROSPEROUS PLACE, a place of blessing and joy. I am not talking about natural prosperity, but that is often the bi product, of living in the blessing of God.

Because of the Lord’s blessing David could say v.29 NKJV For by You, I can run through a troop, by my God I can leap over a wall. Then verse 33+34 he says: He makes my feet like the feet of deer, an d sets me on high places, He teaches my hands to make war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze,

Isn’t that simply the blessing of the Lord, as John says in 1 John 1:7 as we walk right, we live under the blood of Jesus, and Gods hand is upon us.

David concludes in verse 49 I will give THANKS to You, and sing praises to You.

IT IS ALL ABOUT JESUS, ISN’T HE SIMPLY WONDERFUL
