ARE YOU REFLECTING THE GLORY OF GOD?

By John Ollis

There are FOUR WORDS, I have been using more in my personal praying these days, and have mentioned them (in passing) in a blog or two, The words are:

INSTRUMENT

CHANNEL

VESSEL

REFLECTOR

More than ever I sure want to be an INSRUMENT in God’s hands for Him to use me in His Kingdom, and that God’s blessing would be so on my life that I can be a CHANNEL to impart that blessing to others. So I want and need to be a VESSEL of honour (2 Timothy 2:21 KNJV)Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work. So I need to spend quality time in the presence of God daily and press through the veils of my fears and doubts and unbelief and sometimes laziness and stand in the glory that rests above the Ark of the Covenant in the Holy of Holies, and that His glory and His anointing (and His beauty) is clearly seen and reflected through me. We read in Exodus 34:29 NKJV Now it was so, when Moses came down from Mount Sinai (and the two tablets of the Testimony were in Moses’ hand when he came down from the mountain), that Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone while he talked with Him.

So it is the fourth word REFLECTOR I want to highlight today. We know the saying and the truth that “we become like the people we live with”. J.B. Phillips translation of Romans 12:2 says DON’T LET THE WORLD SQUEEZE YOU INTO ITS MOLD. Everyone of us have been effected in some way by the environment we live in. With all the emphasis on “Climate Change” these days, much is said about how pollution can effect our physical health. How much more our spiritual health can be effected by the sinful pollution in our world. OUR CALLING FROM GOD IS TO REFLECT GOD’S PRESENCE AND POWER AND WE EFFECT OUR ENVIROMENT, AND THAT PEOPLE SEE JESUS IN US.

King David in Psalm 17:15 NKJV tells us that as we spend time in God’s presence in prayer we are CHANGED.As for me, I will see Your face in righteousness; I shall be satisfied when I awake in your likeness.
Paul echo’s this same truth in 2 Corinthians 3:18 NKJV But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

The AMP N.T. says And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit.

Paul tells us that as we learn to surrender ourselves more and more to the Lord, and let the Holy Spirit work in us, and the AMP N.T. adds seeing the glory of God in the Word of God, and spending quality time daily in His presence, we are transformed which is translated from Greek word that we get metamorphosis, the hairy caterpillar is changed into a beautiful butterfly.

This is my heart’s desire, that people will see Jesus in me, that I will so carry the glory and anointing of God on my life that people around me are impacted, effected and changed because I am a REFLECTOR of this, and they will see JESUS IN ME.

I trust this is your heart’s desire too.
