HAVE YOU SHARED YOUR TESTIMOMY LATELY?
I often ask myself the question “Where would I be today but for the Lord” and very quickly there bubbles up in my spirit such thanksgiving and praise for God’s goodness and blessing to me over so many years. A common practice in Believers meetings 50+years ago was a “Testimony Time” where Believers could share what the Lord was doing in their life. I am sorry we don’t have this opportunity anymore. Equally many Believers do not take the opportunity to share with friends these things, yet Jesus told the Disciples in Mark 5:19 NKJV “No, go home to your family, and tell them everything the Lord has done for you and how merciful He has been.”
The Psalmist in Psalm 107:2 NLT Has the Lord redeemed you? Then speak out!
tell others he has redeemed you from your enemies.
The old hymn reminded us to COUNT OUR BLESSINGS (name them one by one), we have so much to be thankful for, if we would but sit down and start to consider all the Lord has done in our lives since we “were translated out of the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of His dear Son” Col. 1:13 NLT. The list would go on and on and on, I am sure you agree.
Let us not be shy or ashamed, but regularly testify to the Lord’s blessing and goodness to us Amen.
