OUR SOVEREIGN GOD

I want to commence this blog with this statement.

OUR SOVEREIGN GOD HAS TOTAL CONTROL OVER EVERY ASPECT OF HIS CREATION.

A prominent Australian Christian Leader and author has written today that “Australia is under attack by our enemy the devil”.
I believe the Bible clearly teaches that the devil has no power or authority,, other than what humans beings and sadly even stupid Christians give him.
This statement suggests that our God dances to the whims and wishes of the devil, I cannot and will never accept that, any authority the devil had was stripped from him when Jesus dies on the Cross.
As God is Sovereign and Omnipotent, Omniscient, and Omnipresent, we know that God at times permits things to happen in a nation and in  person’s life (even Christians) Rom. 8:28 NKJV And we know that ALL things work together for GOOD to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His PURPOSE..
Our present floods  and fires have been permitted by God, what that purpose is we do not know, some will say it is the judgment of God because of the nation’s rejection of so many Biblical truths, and substituted them with approving for example homosexual lifestyle and behaviour, same sex marriage, abortion, and now Euthanasia   has been approved in two of our States, and the list goes on and on. I don’t know if this is why we are having these cataclysmic events, but I am sure God has a purpose in it all.
It was interesting to see a man interviewed on tv who said “I am an atheist, but I sure prayed and some things changed”. I hope he doesn’t forget that.
These things should challenge us to pray like never before, and if needs be repent, if we have not been growing in grace and in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Let us re-affirm GOD IS IN CONTROL, HE KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING, and may the end result be our nation turning back to God and we see a Holy Spirit revivl begin in 2020 amen.
