WHAT A GLORIOUS PROMISE CLAIM IT.

By John Ollis

I decided today to “Google” How many promises in the Bible?  There were numerous posts ranging from 3573 to 8000. That suggests to me there will never be a situation in life where God has not given us a promise to lay hold off.
I also remember reading (somewhere) there are 365 “Fear nots” in the Bible. What an awesome, loving, caring God we gave.
Just last Friday at the Pastor’s Meeting I attend, we talked again about the importance of meditating on the Word of God, and letting the Logos Word become a Rhema Word, so that faith is born in our hearts (Romans 10:17) so we can  claim God’s promises for ourselves.
I discovered an awesome promise recently, that has really blessed me, and I will print it out in at least 4 translations.
Isaiah 58:11 AMP. O.T. And the Lord shall guide you continually and satisfy you in drought and in dry places and make strong your bones. And you shall be like a watered garden and like a spring of water whose waters fail not.
NKJV The Lord will guide you continually,
And satisfy your soul in drought,
And strengthen your bones;
You shall be like a watered garden,
And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.
NLT. The Lord will guide you continually,
giving you water when you are dry
and restoring your strength.
You will be like a well-watered garden,
like an ever-flowing spring.
MESSAGE I will always show you where to go.
I’ll give you a full life in the emptiest of places—
firm muscles, strong bones.
You’ll be like a well-watered garden,
a gurgling spring that never runs dry.
What a promise or really a series of promises, remember WE HAVE NOT BECAUSE WE ASK NOT, everything here is available to us WE JUST HAVE TO ASK!!!!!
Let us look at this verse, and what is available to us

  • CONTINUOUS GUIDANCE
  •  TOTAL SATISFACTION
  •  A FULL LIFE  even during drought and everything seems empty
  •  STRONG BONES
  • OUR LIVES LIKE A WATERED GARDEN
  • A CONSTANT SPRING OF LIFE FLOWING OUT OF US

Let me comment more on the last three points.
STRONG BONES. I suffer with Osteporosis, and have to watch where and how I walk, because if I have a fall I can easily break a bone (which has happened in the past). It is caused by a lack of Calcium, Vitamin D and Androgens which I have to regularly add to my body. Everything we need for us to have strong spiritual bones to enable us to walk straight and well is available to us.
A WATERED GARDEN. I love gardens, the colour, the fragrance, the beauty the profuseness, literally everything about them. Here God promises is that our life will be just like that,  people will see the beauty and smell the fragrance of the Christ within hallelujah.
A CONSTANT SPRING .and Old Pentecostal Pioneer I had the joy of working with back in the 1970’s had a phrase he would often quote which I have never forgotten.

SALVATION IS THE MAIN THING, THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IS THE MAIN SPRING

For all these glorious promises to outwork in our lives we need to be born again of the Spirit and be constantly filled with the Spirit, let us do at Paul encourages us to do DAILY. in Ephesians 5:18-21 AMP N.T. And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery; but ever be filled and stimulated with the [Holy] Spirit.
Speak out to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, offering praise with voices [and instruments] and making melody with all your heart to the Lord,
At all times and for everything giving thanks in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God the Father.
Be subject to one another out of reverence for Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).
