THE IMPORTANCE OF WORDS

By John Ollis

My readers know I love the writings of King David, and this love just seems to increase when I read afresh his words. There is a prayer he prayed that is prayed  in many liturgical services, and many Evangelical Pastors often pray the prayer before they preach. It is Psalm 19:14 NKJV
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight,
O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.
David sure had a revelation that God heard every word that came out of his mouth, and that God could see the mediations of his heart.
No doubt, David also realised that the source of his STRENGTH was none other than the LORD HIS REDEEEMER.
I do not preach much anymore, and have added a statement to the prayer
Let the words of my mouth AND THE WORDS THAT I TYPE, and the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight,
O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.
More and more I want my blogging to be a blessing to more and more people, that is why I seek to write pastorally that it will minister to my readers hearts not just their minds.
I love the MESSAGE which says:
These are the words in my mouth;
these are what I chew on and pray.
Accept them when I place them
on the morning altar,
O God, my Altar-Rock,
God, Priest-of-My-Altar.
May I ask you to pray with me and for me, that my blogging will always be WORD BASED and minister to the hearts of my readers.
MAY WE ALL GROW IN GRACE AND IN THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST AMEN.
