A PERSONAL UPDATE (Lenten 21)

You may have wondered why there seems to have been a number of blogs recently, relating to things like THE FOXES THAT SPOIL THE VINES & DEALING WITH THE BIRDS FLYING AROUND YOUR HEAD . The reason is because I had a nasty health scare a few weeks ago, and had to be taken to A&E, after 8 hours of tests etc. there was no clear answer to the problem. My G.P. ordered further tests, again all these returned clear. So last week he ordered a C.T. Scan and the results were given to me today. I have a number of small stones in my Gall Bladder. I have had no pain or any further problems since the visit to A&E. My G.P. recommends that at this stage no further action needs to be taken (and I am at total peace about that).
I did not broadcast my A&E visit as I had no information to pass on, you can appreciate numerous scenarios were offered to me, many of them potentially quite alarming. Consequently I have been having to seek  to PRACTICE WHAT I PREACH when it comes to protecting the mind, and the illustrations of the “foxes and birds” I have used much over the years (I do trust they may have helped you too.). I have really had to work hard at dealing with them, and the BATTLE HAS BEEN HARD AND LONG, and I have struggled and failed much over these last few weeks. It was such a relief to get the results today, and I sure thank the Lord for His goodness to me.
I would appreciate your ongoing prayers as much for my health, as well as my ongoing walk with the Lord. We are encouraged by James to do this, every Believer should have an Intercessory component  to their prayer  life, It is spelt out in the letters  J O Y

James 5:16-17 AMP. N.T. tells us CONFESS to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) PRAY ALSO FOR ONE ANOTHER, that you may be HEALED AND RESTORED [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].
MESSAGE Make this your common practice: Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you can live together whole and healed. The prayer of a person living right with God is something powerful to be reckoned with.
I have confessed my failure to you today, and ask you to pray for me.
James goes on in verse 17 and reminds us THE CONTINUED PRAYER OF A RIGHTEOUS MAN MAKES TREMENDOUS POWER AVAILALBE {DYNAMIC IN ITS WORKING}
