By John Ollis

We have now been on this Lenten Journey for about 5 weeks, and it is time we did an assessment of the impact of the Journey on our lives.

For some of you like myself this is a new experience, for others who are part of a Liturgical church you have been doing this annually perhaps for many years.

There are four key areas we need to assess.

Have I deliberately given time to reflect on the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ? Has God spoken to us through the Scriptures, or by that “still small voice” within, and challenged us ? Have we been convicted and need to make changes?

Have I had a change of:

  • Mind
  • Direction
  • Attitude
  • Affection

Have I needed to make some sacrifices and fast, not only from food but anything that had been a hindrance to me in my walk with the Lord.

Has the Lord laid someone on my heart, and not only have I prayed for them, but have deliberately performed an Act of Mercy to them?

For many of us around the world we have been in self-isolation because of the Covid-19 virus, which has sure been a new experience for most of us, I trust you remember Rom. 8:28 NKJV And we know that ALL things work together for GOOD to those who love God, to those who are the CALLED according to His purpose.

With less than two weeks to go until Resurrection Sunday, let us continue to ask the Lord to work within us, so that we will NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN.

It is easy to get slack and lazy during this extended time, let us make a commitment today, that, we will purpose in our hearts and confess with Paul in Phil. 3:14 NKJV I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

MESSAGE I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back

Can I ask you to consider writing a response and giving glory to God for what has been happening in your life during this Lenten Journey. You can either write to [email protected] or if you have subscribed to johnollis.wordpress.com
