HOW HAS YOUR WEEK BEEN?

By John Ollis

I think most of my readers, are like myself, in some sort of lockdown or isolation, so I want to ask you this morning “How are you, how are you handling the Covid-19 situation?

Because of our age and lifestyle, many of the restrictions are not having any effect on me at all,  The weekly meeting with Ministry friends is currently using Zoom, it sure isn’t the same, but it is better than nothing.

Here in Australia we were informed yesterday that the “light is at the end of the tunnel” (as long as there are no breakouts) and by the end of July our lives will be really getting back to normal.

Because my life is so different to yours I wonder how the isolation has impacted you, and I have some thoughts to share with you today.

I should start by saying that with little to do with the isolation I have had a difficult week, particularly physically I have not been feeling very well (I would appreciate your prayers) and Friday, Margaret a I celebrated our 55th Wedding Anniversary, and we praise God for this blessed and God favoured journey, I could not take Margaret out for a celebratory meal because of the restrictions (Just a McD take away he he) and will plan a special time later.

Because I have not been feeling very well, I have found it so easy to just rest (and often speak to myself.

Why am I discouraged?
Why is my heart so sad?
I will put my hope in God!
I will praise him again—
my Savior and my God!

MESSAGE Why are you down in the dumps, dear soul?
Why are you crying the blues?
Fix my eyes on God—
soon I’ll be praising again.
He puts a smile on my face.
He’s my God.

It is time we declared with King David in Psalm 27:3 KJV The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?
THE LORD IS THE STRENGTH OF MY LIFE ; of whom shall I be afraid?

I am encouraging myself as I write this, (and you I trust) to give some time mediating on this verse, let it become a Rhema Word to you and start CONFESSING IT.

If you feel so flat remember James 4:2 NLT Yet you don’t have what you want( or need) because you don’t ask God for it.

I am sure going to be doing some asking today more and more.

The only other blog I have written this week has been on MAKING A FAITH DECLARATION, because of the restrictions on WP & FB put on my blogs I am not really sure if many of my readers have seen it, I was so blest to write it, and it is interesting I sure need to “practice what I preach” today. I still hope to hear from you, not only if you have read the blog, but have prepared a FAITH DECLARATION I would love to read it and pray with you to see it fulfilled in your life and ministry.

Have a blessed weekend, I trust this blog has blest and encouraged you, there are better days ahead and soon.
