ARE YOU REPRODUCING?
I have used the statement in my blogs a few times, I AM LIVING THE DREAM, expressing what I feel in regard to fulfilling the will of God in my life. I could never have comprehended almost 69 years ago the impact of what my decision to respond to the claims of Christ on my life would bring about.
Not knowing I would receive a call to Ministry which included a Pastoral ands Teaching Ministry that has taken me around the world.
That is all I want to say about myself today, I was struck by a statement made by a Pastor Andy Stanley I had never ever heard of him before, his father is the well known T.V. Teacher Charles Stanley.
In 2017 a survey of U.S. Pastors in Outreach mgazine identified Andy as one of the top 10 influential living Pastors in America. This is what he said.
YOUR GREATEST CONTRIBUTION TO THE KINGDOM OF GOD MAY NOT BE SOMETIHNG YOU DO, BUT SOMEONE YOU RAISE.
This statement so witnessed to my heart, I have always agreed with the principle, but it is going to be the the guiding light in my life more than ever from now on.
I have often used the statement:
” IF YOU DON’T RAISE UP A SUCCESSOR YOU ARE A FAILUR”. IT MAY NOT BE AN 100% CORRECT STATEMENT BUT THERE IS A LOT OF TRUTH IN IT.
Naturally, we were born to reproduce, HOW MUCH MORE IN THE SPIRITUAL SENSE.
We may not be called into ministry,
Way back in the O.T. we see the influence of Moses on Joshua’s life that prepared him to take the mantle and lead God’s people into the promised Land.
Again we see the principle in Elijah’s life as he prepared Elisha to move into his nation wide Prophetic Ministry.
We come to the N.T. and see how Jesus raised up the Disciples to become World Changers.
The Apostle Paul was not part of the original Apostolic band, but he sure saw and understood the principle and raised up particularly Timothy and Titus to impact their generation. Listen to Paul’s words to Timothy 2 Tim 2:2
AMP. N.T. And the [instructions] which you have heard from me along with many witnesses, transmit and entrust [as a deposit] to reliable and faithful men who will be competent and qualified to teach others also.
PASSION And all that you’ve learned from me, confirmed by the integrity of my life, pass on to faithful leaders who are competent to teach the congregations the same revelation.
MESSAGE Pass on what you heard from me—the whole congregation saying Amen!—to reliable leaders who are competent to teach others.
I wish I could give you many more examples and I am sure there are some I do not know off. We have all been blessed and impacted for example by Reinhardt Bonnke’s ministry in Africa, have you heard of Daniel Kolenda? He was Reinhardt’s understudy and is now leading millions to Christ in Africa.
My readers will know the passion of my heart is Biblical Discipleship and Mentoring, and my determined purpose is TO RAISE UP MINISTRIES WHENEVER AND WHEREVER I CAN USING WHATSAPP VIDEOING, FACE TO FACE, AND MY WRITINGS.
