GOD’S WORD – THE BIBLE (5)
Our next symbol we are going to look at is THE WORD IS LIKE A SEED 1 Peter 1:23 AMP. N.T. You have been regenerated (born again), not from a mortal origin (seed, sperm), but from one that is immortal by the ever living and lasting Word of God.
N.L.T For you have been born again, but not to a life that will quickly end. Your new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God.
PASSION For through the eternal and living Word of God you have been born again. And this “seed” that he planted within you can never be destroyed but will live and grow inside of you forever.
MESSAGE Your new life is not like your old life. Your old birth came from mortal sperm; your new birth comes from God’s living Word. Just think: a life conceived by God himself.
The seed is a germinating life producing Word that can eternally change us.
The Greek word for seed is sperma, and Peter tells us, that God plants the divine sperma into our heart, and reproduction takes place and we are born again. We actually have God’s DNA in us now. He truly is our Father.
James 1:18 PASSION God was delighted to give us birth by the truth of his infallible Word so that we would fulfill his chosen destiny for us and become the favorite ones out of all his creation!
Luke 8:11 NKJV Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
Not only was it the divine sperma (the seed of the Word of God) that brought us to Christ, but every day as we spend quality time reading and meditating on the Word, we can be continually “pregnant” with truth, and can be constantly experiencing all the different aspects of the ministry of the Word in our lives.
Our challenge is to so have our heart cultivated (and prepared), to receive the seed, and let the Holy Spirit water it, and let it become a mighty harvest, that not only impacts us personally, but everyone in our world amen.
