PEACE PERFECT PEACE

By John Ollis

As I have spent considerable time and prayer in the last few weeks on the last 2 series of blogs, I simply prayed this morning, “Place a verse in my heart and mind Lord, that I should blog about”?

Instantly Psalm 46:1 came into my my mind, I could not have chosen a better scripture to share about.

Never in all our lifetimes have we faced a time like we are going through at the moment, I am thankful that we personally are not in the major areas of the lockdown, but we sure still have restrictions. My heart aches for those in these areas where there is a curfew and mass unemployment plus, plus plus. I mentioned yesterday the mental health pressures that could potentially effect literally millions of people, and WE NEED TO STAND IN THE GAP FOR THEM Ez. 22:30 NKJV.

Now let us look at this glorious promise we find in Psalm 46:1

AMP. O.T. GOD IS our REFUGE and STRENGTH [mighty and impenetrable to temptation], a very PRESENT and WELL-PROVED help in trouble.

PASSION God, you’re such a safe and POWERFUL place to find refuge! You’re a proven HELP in time of trouble
N.L.T. God is our refuge and strength,
always ready to help in times of trouble.

MESSAGE God is a SAFE PLACE to hide, ready to help when we need Him.

I feel impressed to do something different today, I have highlighted the key words in these various translations, (as I often do) but feel not to write and emphasise them, but let you ponder (chew) MEDITATE on all the awesome truths we find in this single verse so aptly expressed by the various translations.

May EVERY aspect of truth minister to your heart, may the LOGOS WORD drop that 12 inches from your mind to your heart and let the Holy Spirit QUICKEN THE WORD TO YOU, so that it becomes a RHEMA WORD to you, so that very moment a “fearful thought” comes into your mind, you CONFESS God’s Word, even SHOUT it out, and let the PEACE OF GOD rule in your hearts continually. Hear Paul’s word to the Philippians 4:7 NKJV Be anxious for NOTHING, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with THANKSGIVING, let your requests be made known to God; and the PEACE OF GOD, which surpasses all understanding, will GUARD your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

MESSAGE Before you know it, a sense of God’s WHOLENESS, everything coming together for good, will come and SETTLE you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ DISPLACES worry at the center of your life.

Paul says in Col.3:15 NKJV And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.

PASSION Let your heart be always guided by the peace of the Anointed One, who called you to peace as part of his one body. And always be thankful.

MESSAGE Let the peace of Christ keep you in tune with each other, in step with each other. None of this going off and doing your own thing. And cultivate thankfulness.

May this simple blog bless and encourage you.
