ARE YOU GLOWING?

We have had the privilege of going to New Zealand for ministry and holidays many times, only once have we visited a town called Waitomo where there is THE GLOW WORM CAVES.

Tourists get into small boats and are guided through these caves and on the roof (ceiling) of the caves there are a multitude of little glowing lights, and these are actually worms which must have something in their bodies that causes them to glow in the dark, it is a spectacular sight and really worth seeing.

I read recently Psalm 34:1-5 NKJV

I will bless the Lord at all times;
His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
My soul shall make its boast in the Lord;
The humble shall hear of it and be glad.
Oh, magnify the Lord with me,
And let us exalt His name together.
I sought the Lord, and He heard me,
And delivered me from all my fears.
They looked to Him and were RADIANT,
And their faces were not ashamed.

The introduction to this Psalm is very well known, but it was verse 5 that really caught my eye, and made me think of the “glow worms”.

I am reminded words written again by King David’s words in Psalm 17:15 KJV

As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness:
I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.

I love the NLT version which says

Because I am righteous, I will see you.
When I awake, I will see you face to face and be satisfied.

David knew by revelation he had been “declared righteous” and was seeking to walk in that righteousness.

The Word of Go indicates to me, the more we spend time in God’s presence intimately expressing our love and worship to Him, we will experience a RADIANCE (the glow of His presence) and more and more we will be changed into His likeness and people WILL SEE JESUS IN US.

I am reminded of Acts 4:13 NKJV Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that THEY HAD BEEN WITH JESUS.

I don’t know about you but I want people to be able to say about me I have been with Jesus, and it can be seen by my character and speech and lifestyle.
