THE STRENGTH OF THE LORD

By John Ollis

I attended a funeral a quite a few months ago, and a small choir sang a song entitled TOTAL PRAISE, I have now heard it a few times on You tube sung by Brooklyn Tabernacle choir, (love it) the refrain says,

YOU ARE THE SOURCE OF MY STRENGTH, YOU ARE THE STRENGTH OF MY LIFE.

Most of us have seen the picture on FB reminding us that just as we need to keep our smartphone charged so it can work well, HOW MUCH MORE WE NEED TO KEEP IN REGULAR COMMUNION AND COMMUNICATION WITH THE LORD, and receive that strength from the Lord.

James reminds us in his letter (4:8 NKJV Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.

PASSION Move your heart closer and closer to God, and he will come even closer to you.

MESSAGE Say a quiet yes to God and he’ll be there in no time.

During this pandemic year, I have come to appreciate and love the manifest presence of God I think more than at any time in my life, just to know the Lord is there, in my life, not for any reason I can boast, but, because of God’s grace, and to know I simply need to draw near, and talk to Him, sometimes it is a crying out, BUT HE IS LISTENING, AND PROMISES TO MEET ALL MY NEEDS, ACCORDING TO HIS RICHES IN GLORY.

Once again, I have been aware of so much answered prayer this year, and I cannot help but bow down and GIVE THANKS WITH A GRATEFUL HEART.

I want to encourage you in this simple blog, to reach out (draw near to the Lord) and you will be be overwhelmed with the fact that our God TRULY IS THE SOURCE OF OUR STRENGTH AND THE STRENGTH OF MY LIFE.

Have a blessed weekend,
