GOD’S EVERLASTING UNFAILING LOVE
Although Adam and Eve willfully chose to disobey the Lord, and lost their innocence and were kicked out of the Garden of Eden, we know because of God’s Omniscience (all seeing and knowing) He was not surprised, He already had a plan that through the death and resurrection of His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ Justice and Mercy would meet and the consequences of sin would be dealt with,
Even during the Old Testament period before Jesus came, despite God’s wrath against sin and mankind, we read in Jer. 31:3 AMP. OT. Yes, I have loved you with an EVERLASTING love; therefore with loving-kindness have I drawn you and continued My faithfulness to you.
N.L.T. I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love.
With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself.
MESSAGE “I’ve NEVER QUIT loving you and never will. Expect love, love and more love.
The Psalmist continues this awesome truth, we read in Psalm 86:5 NLT O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive, so FULL OF UNFAILING LOVE for all who ask for your help.
Psalm 100:5 NLT For the Lord is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and his faithfulness continues to each generation.
The Apostle John declares this awesome truth so clearly in the well known and favourite verse John 3:16 NKJV God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
PASSION For this is how much God loved the world—he gave His one and only, unique Son as a gift. So now everyone who believes in Him will never perish but experience everlasting life.
MESSAGE “This is how much God loved the world: He gave \His Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life
Despite the fact that man had disobeyed the Lord, God’s love never ceased to be expressed and available to His creation.
My mortal limited mind struggles to take this glorious truth in, God saw me in eternity past, and saw my sinning, pre and post conversion, and HE STILL LOVED ME, we do not deserve it, and must never take it for granted, but ever run to the foot of the Cross in repentance when we fail the Lord, I am so thankful that our God, IS EVER TRUE TO HIS NAME, HIS NATURE AND HIS PROMISES.
This love has been poured out into our hearts Rom. 5:5 NKJV the (Agape) love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
Outside of Christ people fall in and out of love, but s Believers as we let God’s Agape love flow through us, we can be enabled to love just like our God does.
