SEEKING TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE LORD IN MY LIFE.

By John Ollis

We know Solomon is known as the “wisest man in all the world”, but despite his God given wisdom he made some very unwise choices, I guess He didn’t always “practice what he preached”. The book of Proverbs is full of “gems of truth” and we probably all know Prov. 3:5-6 N.K.J.V. Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths.
I want today in this blog to especially highlight verse 6, as this blog is primarily a personal testimony.

N.K.J.V. In all your ways ACKNOWLEDGE Him, and He shall direct your paths. N.L.T. SEEK HIS WILL in all you do, and He will show you which path to take.
PASSION BECOME INTIMATE WITH HIM in whatever you do, and He will lead you wherever you go.
MESSAGE LISTEN TO GOD’S VOICE in everything you do, everywhere you go; AMP.O.T. In all your ways know, RECOGNISE, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.

My personal testimony is about acknowledging all the Lord is doing in my life.

I have highlighted some key truths in the above various translations, I am not suggesting I am perfect inn these things, but Solomon acknowledges that if we do these things, we are guaranteed the Lord’s leading and blessing. I am sure Solomon had regrets because he didn’t always follow his own teachings. I am sure we also have regrets because we have chosen our own way tp do things and it has often not produced good spiritual fruit.

So, let me just highlight these keys from the various transalations.

  1. Acknowledge and recognise Him
  2. Seek His will
  3. Become intimate with God
  4. Listen to God’s voice

If we do these things we are guaranteed God’s direction and blessing.

I want to acknowledge today, in all humility, over these last probably 6 months particularly I have been so aware of:

The Lord’s presence

The Lord’s blessing

So many answers to prayer

The Lord’s leading

The Lord’s guidance AND THE LIST GOES ON AND ON.

I am so aware that “without Him I can do nothing, and even though I have not fully done as the various translations suggest, I have been so blest, and I WANT TO GIVE THE LORD ALL THE PRAISE AND GLORY.

I deliberately, am not going to highlight any specifics, other than to say, there have been some awesome answers to prayer, and I believe there are more to come, for example in my extended family around the world (and other connections) there are around 20 people who I am interceding for daily that they will be drawn to the Lord, and they will truly repent,, and be born again.

TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY.
