IS GOD SPEAKING TO HIS CHURCH?

You may have read or seen the news on TV that a large part of Australia is experiencing catastrophic floods, and tens of thousands of people could have to evacuated from their homes, there will be a reprieve from the rain in a day or two, but there is much more rain forecast.

I am reminded of the verse in Matthew 24:37 NKJV where Jesus says “But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be”. I am sure it relates as much to the wickedness in Noah’s day, but could include the massive flood that God sent on the whole earth.

There are so many signs appearing that we could very much be getting ever nearer to the Lord breaking through the clouds and returning for His Church. There is so much that seems to be just percolating beneath the surface, both nationally and internationally, in the political front, as well as the climate, with fires, and floods, pandemics and tornados and earthquakes and volcanoes exploding all that we have been warned about in the Scriptures, We know that no one knows the day or the hour when Jesus will return, but we know the early Church was challenged to live in the light of Lord’s return, that He could return at any time. John reminds us in 1 John 3:2-3 NKJV Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope (of Christ’s soon return) in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

Living in the light of Christ’s soon return is an important key in maintaining a strong fresh constant walk with the Lord.

There is so much happening in our personal worlds, that can so easily deflect our thinking away from the Lord’s return, and we get caught up with “this present world”. Daily let us re-align our focus on the Lord Jesus Christ and His soon return.

I am also reminded of another verse Paul tells us in 1 Cor. 15:46 NKJV However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual.

So, in the purposes of God, there could still be a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the world before Jesus returns, I have written previously that as Paul declares in Rom. 8:28 “All things work together for GOOD to those who love the Lord, the Lord wants to use things like the pandemic, and catastrophic floods to cause His people to turn afresh to Him. We read in 2 Chron. 7:14 NKJV if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

It is OVERTIME that we prayed David’s prayer in Psalm 139:23-24 NKJV Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me and know my anxieties and see if there is any wicked way in me and lead me in the way everlasting.

Personal as well as Church revival is the crying need of the day, may the Lord in His love and mercy, draw us by His Holy Spirit and enable us to repent, and return to the Lord, and learn to live and walk and move in the Spirit, and live in the light of Christ’s soon return. AMEN
