THE UNIQUE POWERFUL WORD OF GOD
I wrote about 5 days ago, that I had a regret that I did not know as a young person, that as well as having my sins forgiven when I was born again, but that part of God’s SO GREAT SALVATION, was not only forgiveness, and the gift of eternal life, but a glorious INHERITANCE NOW to live a victorious, holy life. That blog was all about realising we had an enemy (who was defeated at the cross too but still seeks to tempt God’s creation) ), but there was available to me tools, keys and weapons to use against this enemy so that I can be continually victorious over him.
I am convinced that Biblical Discipleship is all about communicating to the new Believer (as soon as possible) about this glorious inheritance, and yes it can be taught in a class, but I am convinced we need a Disciple-Maker to walk with the new Believer so that all these truths are not just information BUT REVELATION, and that there continues to be that 12 inch drop from head to heart and he puts into practice what has become revelation to him.
Experience would sure suggest that if a New Believer has not been taught (AND CAUGHT THESE TRUTHS) there can be years of defeat and unnecessary struggle with sin and temptation, as we sure seem to bring our old pre-conversion bad habits with us when we are born again.
I have written so many blogs on Biblical Discipleship some of my readers may be tuning me out right now, but I am going to continue to write about it, until there comes a major shift in the Church back to the New Testament paths of true Discipleship. We have a God given command and challenge TO MAKE QUALITY DISCIPLES OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.
Another aspect of our glorious inheritance is for the new Believer to discover the UNIQUESS OF THE WORD OF GOD AND ITS ESSENTIAL PLACE IN THE LIFE OF THE BELIEVER.
There is no other book ever written that comes anywhere near to the uniqueness of the Bible, Paul wrote to Timothy in 2 Tim. 3:16
NKJV All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
PASSION Every Scripture has been written by the Holy Spirit, the breath of God. It will empower you by its instruction and correction, giving you the strength to take the right direction and lead you deeper into the path of godliness. Then you will be God’s servant, fully mature and perfectly prepared to fulfill any assignment God gives you.
AMP.N.T Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God’s will in thought, purpose, and action),
MESSAGE Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or another—showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live God’s way.
The very breath of God is in every word, as the songwriter declares THE BIBLE IS UNIQUE.
Every promise in the book is mine, every promise in the book is mine,Every chapter, every verse and every line, all are blessings of His live divine, every promise in the book is mine.
By His stripes the book says I’m healed, until the day of redemption the book says I’ve been sealed (according to the same book to prosper and be in health is right in line.

The book says “Delight yourself in the Lord, you can have what’s in your heart. It also says “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he’s got a brand new start ” They are all blessings of His love divine, every promise in the book is mine. And it also says “knock and the door shall be opened, seek and ye shall find” Every promise in the book is mine.
There are 3 aspects of truth that I want to highlight today
THE BIBLE REFRESHES
THE BIBLE ILLUMINATES
THE BIBLE SANCTIFIES
Let me remind you again today, do not open your Bible until you have prepared your heart through prayer, I believe this includes:
Confession & Repentance
Continued Surrender
Thanksgiving
Praise
Worship
Intercession
Petition (praying for yourself)
Then open the Bible and let it REFRESH you, for example just sit and read Psalm 16, and ponder every verse and then even speak out verse 11
You will show me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
The Bible itself tells to not just read and ponder over the Word of God but to MEDITATE (chew over each word, look at various translations, ask the Holy Spirit to “turn the light on” and the written Word (Logos) becomes a personal (Rhema) Word that puts faith in your heart (Rom.10:17), as the Word of God is ILLUMINATED (quickened) to you.
I personally believe that EVERY DAY God wants to take the Word of God and illumniate it to us, (Give us a Rhema Word) remember we must prepare our heart, spend quality time meditating and the Word will come alive personally to us. Peter describes the Word of God in 1 Peter 1:23 as the “incorruptible seed (sperma) that began the first conception and we were born again, every day as we let the divine sperma enter the womb of our heart more of God’s DNA is expressed in our life.
The Word of God also has a SANCTIFYING MINISTRY in our life. Remember in the Tabernacle and the temple, the first thing a person saw there was the brazen altar where animals were killed and blood shed (speaking of Salvation,) and then the brazen laver where the priests washed themselves. Paul seeing the truth in the New Testament pattern, he writes in Eph. 5:26 NKJV that He (Christ) might sanctify and cleanse her (the Church with the washing of water by the word,
Jeremiah looking speaking prophetically writes in Jer. 23:2 NKJV
Is not My Word like a fire?” says the Lord,
“And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?
Much as we love the refreshing that comes from the Word, God’s Word at times needs to be a Hammer and Fire to break and purify us.
I wish I had known as a young person just how unique and powerful the Word of God is, I can’t change the past, but I want to seek to make the Word of God paramount in my life, and to let it REFRESH ME, ILLUMINATE ME, AND SANCTIFY ME.
I will never forget a person saying to me WE MUST LET THE WORD OF GOD WORK, I had never heard that statement before, it struck me as a powerful truth then, and continues to increasingly impact me life.
I want my love for the Word of God to ever increase, and for me to get the very most I can from it. I trust this blog encourages you to spend more time in the Word of god, and letting God speak to you.
