WHAT IS YOUR LEVEL OF SPIRITUAL SATISFACTION?

By John Ollis

Let me ask you a personal question “HOW SATISFIED ARE YOU WITH YOUR WALK WITH GOD?

There are I think degrees or types of “satisfaction, both natural and spiritual.

1.When one is (spiritually or physically) unwell, there is little appetite, so a little nourishment creates sufficient satisfaction.

2. When you are physically well, you may not at times have a great hunger, so it doesn’t take much to satisfy you, and also you can be walking in a level of spiritual victory, but not have a passion or hunger for more of God in your life.

3. Then there is what I call an UNSATISFIED SATISFACTION, when you literally hunger and thirst after God, and he comes and satisfies your spirit, BUT YOU STILL WANT MORE AND MORE.

The Psalmist declares in Psalm 107 :9 NKJV For He satisfies the longing soul, and fills the hungry soul with goodness.
PASSION he satisfies the souls of thirsty ones, and fills the hungry with all that is good.
MESSAGE He poured great draughts of water down parched throats;
the starved and hungry got plenty to eat.

So, what is the level of your spiritual satisfaction? look again at the three levels I listed above, so you can assess where you are at.

Let me encourage you to make your daily prayer LORD INCREASE MY HUNGER AND MY THIRST FOR YOU, it is my prayer, I am not satisfied, to the extent i should be, and it is no one’s fault except my own. I want to live in that place, where I have an unsatisfied satisfaction, literally daily satisfied, but wanting MORE AND MORE OF GOD IN MY LIFE.

THIS IS A PRAYER THAT GOD WILL ALWAYS ANSWER FOR HE WANTS TO FLOOD US WITH HIS CONTINUAL GOODNESS.

GLUTTONY IS KNOWN AS A CARDINAL SIN, BUT NOT WHEN IT COMES TO OUR WALK WITH GOD, WE CAN NEVER HAVE ENOUGH OF HIM IN OUR LIFE THIS SIDE OF ETERNITY.

James declares in James 4:3 NKJV Yet you do not have because you do not ask.

Jesus declares in Luke 11:9 AMP. N.T. So I say to you, Ask and keep on asking and it shall be given you; seek and keep on seeking and you shall find; knock and keep on knocking and the door shall be opened to you.

I love the AMP translation as it shows we need to be serious and persistent and disciplined AND NOT STOP, and we will begin to experience God’s UNSATISFIED SATISFACTION amen.

I do trust this encourages and challenges you today.
