LET US DISPOSE OF OUR CARES AT HIS FEET.

By John Ollis

Every few days lately, I seem to be regularly seeing in something I am reading or being reminded (I believe by the Holy Spirit) about a particular scripture. It is 1 Peter 5:7 NKJV CASTING all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

PASSION POUR out all your worries and stress upon him and leave them there, for he always tenderly cares for you.

N.L.T. GIVE all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.

MESSAGE Live carefree before God; he is most careful with you.

AMP.N.T. Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.

I have known this verse for many years, and I am sure the Lord feels I need to know the reality and practical outworking of this verse and the truth contained in it more and more..

As I have been meditating on this verse, I recognise that I need to regularly make a deliberate act of my will and cast down or throw down my cares, and deliberately pour them out at the Lord’s feet and leave them there.

We all know that worry is a sin, and yet so often we try and carry so many cares upon ourselves, which we should not, and the reality is our spiritual shoulders are not big enough to carry them anyway..

I love the MESSAGE statement, that we SHOULD LIVE CAREFREE, we know this is not an easy thing to do, but the Word of God would not challenge us, to cast our cares down if it wasn’t what God wants us to do, and part of our glorious inheritance as a Believer now, is we can live carefree, but not careless.

So I am asking the Lord daily to help me recognise when I start carrying a care that I must cast it down at His feet, we sure know that if we keep carrying the care/s it will rob us of our peace and joy.

To my readers, if this simple blog can help and encourage you, to learn to live a carefree life, then I sure give God all the glory, we sure can’t relax for even a moment as the evil one sure wants to bring situations across our path to cause us to stumble and lose our peace.

May you have a blessed carefree week.
