GOD’S PRO-ACTIVE RESPONSE

By John Ollis

There are some people we know, who sure do not wait to be asked for help, but are pro-active and offer their help sometimes even when we don’t realise we need help.

Have you ever thought, that is how our God is towards us, we read in 2 Chron. 16:9 N.L.T. The eyes of the Lord search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.

MESSAGE God is always on the alert, constantly on the lookout for people who are totally committed to him.

Although the Word of God strongly encourages us to ASK AND KEEP ON ASKING, this verse tells us that God is not sitting around waiting to be asked but firstly He is looking for those of His children, who are learning to live THE SURRENDERED LIFE Rom.12:1-2 NKJV I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

I am sure you want personally to experience more and more of THE SURRENDERED LIFE TO THE LORD and for it to be a lifestyle, The PASSION Translation expresses Paul’s words so well in Rom.12:1-2

Beloved friends, what should be our proper response to God’s marvelous mercies? I encourage you to surrender yourselves to God to be his sacred, living sacrifices. And LIVE IN HOLINESS EXPERIENCING ALL THAT DELIGHTS HIS HEART. For this becomes your genuine expression of worship.
Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes.

When God sees a surrendered heart, we read it causes His heart to respond, and He pours His awesome strength into us.

So, with the Lord helping us, may we seek to continually lay on the altar in surrender and let and let the sanctifying ministry of the Holy Spirit, work in us. 1 Thess. 5:23 NKJV Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it. Amen
